Last November, ResMed released it's first gel mask, the SoftGel. We here at CPAPtalk.com were excited to see how the SoftGel would stack up against the tried and true Phillips Respironics ComfortGel.
For this Challenge, 50 ComfortGel users were selected to try the SoftGel mask. The SoftGel received 70% of the votes. We strongly suggest reading the full results. Here are some highlights:
- SoftGel won the quietness category 4.5 to 3.8
- For most, the SoftGel kept a better seal
- Users liked the SoftGel's MircoFit Dial Forehead adjustment
- Many were concerned with the ComfortGel's durability
- The majority preferred the ComfortGel's headgear clips
- The SoftGel was considered bulkier but more comfortable
