CPAP.com Sleep Apnea Medical Alert Card

For years, we have included a CPAP.com magnet in all of our orders. Many of you may have one on your refrigerator. Some of you have passed them on to a friend with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. From time to time, we receive an email from a formerly satisfied but now exasperated repeat customer, asking if we can't send some other freebie with their order as the fridge is covered. To everyone who could spell out CPAP.com with all of the CPAP.com magnets they've collected, we are happy to announce a new complimentary item: The CPAP.com Sleep Apnea Medical Alert Card.

This handy wallet card can be filled out with your personal information, and kept in your wallet. Put it in a place where medical professionals can easily find it, in case of emergency.

We will include the CPAP.com Sleep Apnea Medical Alert Card in all orders shipped between Friday November 21st and the end of the year. We'll be listening closely to customer feedback and will either alternate between magnets and alert cards, or switch to the alert cards from the end of the year forward. Flexible Spending Account Reminder

Many people these days have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) through their employer for medical expenses. Other people have plans called a Health Savings Account (HSA), and various other types of plans exist. These plans can offer a significant tax savings to individuals and families for medical care, prescriptions, durable medical equipment, child care, dependent care, and more. Often they include an FSA Debit Card or Flex-card that may be utilized for qualifying purchases.

However, there is typically a Use It or Lose It rule in effect for these type of accounts, where the funds have to be used within the "plan year" or "coverage period". The majority of these accounts have an ending time of December 31st. This time period may differ for each individual, and there may be exceptions, so we suggest you check with your plan administrator or in your plan paperwork, to see when your "plan period" begins and ends, and what rules apply in your particular situation.

So, with that being said, we just wanted to give you a friendly reminder that this could be a good time for you to get some CPAP supplies; a new hose, extra filters, humidifier chambers, masks, replacement parts, headgear, chinstraps, cleaning supplies, and more.
