"I have only had my Sleep Style 238 for a couple of days but am quite pleased with it. The machine is very simple to set up & is completely silent. I definitely recommend this machine."

"The SleepStyle 238 being the second CPAP machine owned since being diagnosed and treated for severe sleep apnea 3 years ago, alows room for comparison at least against the former CPAP machine, the Resmed S7. The 238 has a smaller footprint and runs quietly. It comes, like the S7, with a carrying case, but the S7's case had room for the mask and hoses, while the 238 does not. Notable, the 238 comes with a humidifier resevoir that in operation, does not run dry overnight. The S7 reservoir would run dry and this often caused waking due to sinus membranes becoming irritated. The S7 reservoir, because it would run dry, was susceptible to caking of dried salts from the water used. The 238 does not share this problem and can be easily rinsed each morning before being refilled. The 238 also comes standard with a second, backup reservoir.

Finally, the price of the 238 is much less than the S7 and it works just as well. The inability to pack mask and hoses into the carry bag is a minor inconvenience which for the price, can be lived with, especially since the S7 carry bag is still in the closet. :)"
