Home and Travel Friendly, Small Footprint, Battery Ready
Product Overview
The Everest 3 CPAP is quiet, reliable and has one of the smallest footprints on the market. The Everest rests within a minimal space on your nightstand by stacking the optional Heated Humidifier and Battery Pack, one atop of the other. The Battery Pack allows use anywhere and acts as a backup power source in the event your electricity goes out.
AEIOMed continues to improve the Everest CPAP machine. The Everest 3 is rugged enough for travel, small enough to be easily stowed in your carry on luggage, and best of all, it takes little room on the night stand.
The Everest 3 Features include:
Quiet
The motor and mechanics now operate at 22 Decibals without the humidifier. Due to the extra volume of space, installing the humidifier brings the sound up to 28 dbA.
Lightweight
AEIOMed has changed out several components inside the CPAP, lowering the weight. The Everest 3 weighs 1.8 lbs, which is 5.6 ounces lighter than the Everest 2.
Optional Humidification
The optional heated humidifier has a redesigned lid that snaps into place, assuring the system is secure. The water chamber was also improved so that the electric connectors are located on the back side, instead of on the bottom where water could damage the connection.
Optional Software Capability
The Everest 3 can now record 13 months of daily compliance data with its new on-board memory. Use the DataRest Docking Station and Software to transfer data from the CPAP to the Data Card for a graphical interpretation of your therapy.
Battery Operated (Sold Separately)
The Everest 3 uses the same integrated, rechargeable battery, but now capable of powering the unit and humidifier throughout the night at ANY pressure. It's perfect for camping, boating or other activities that take patients beyond stationary power supplies and acts as a backup during power outages as well. This battery can operate the system all night, and adds only one inch to the system's height.

"Machine air flow noisy, wish it were quieter. Size is great for travel."
Machine may be OK but connection so POOR.

"I really would like to have a conversation with the engineer (or whomever) designed the power connector for this unit. What were they thinking? Let's think a minute how a travel-CPAP unit might be used:
1.) At home with big AC-transformer pulling on plug.
2.) At a hotel, where ever in a non-standard setup, with
big AC-transformer pulling on plug.
This may be a great unit. But with a power connector that disconnects at the slightest move - it is definitely not worth the money. The size is good so I will put up with it. But I will need to bring duct-tape to keep it together.
I would give it a -5 if I could. Just plain pathetic."
Functional but not impressive

"I need a basic, quiet CPAP that travels well. The AEIO Everest 3 is functional but not impressive.
I bought this machine as a replacement for the now-obsolete Puritan-Bennett GoodKnight 420G. After three years of service, the cord around the strain relief on the AC adapter had frayed, but the CPAP itself still worked. Due to its age, I decided to replace the machine, rather than fix the problem with the AC adapter. I was hoping for an overall improvement with a new machine, similar to the improvement I saw the last time I replaced a CPAP in 2006, but it was not to be.
The low noise specification of the Everest 3 caught my eye, but in a side by side comparison with my old CPAP, the GookKnight 420G, the Everest 3 sounds subjectively noisier to me. It may have an overall lower noise level when measured scientifically, but there are resonances in the Everest 3 that take some getting used to.
I was in a hurry to get the new machine, too, and CPAP.com came through with next day Saturday delivery, for which I'm grateful. The very next day after receiving my new machine, I had to travel by air on business.
At the airport, I discovered that the shape of the Everest machine makes it somewhat awkward to pull out for security screening. Yes, it's roughly the same size and weight as the old machine, but its shape requires me to handle it with both hands, rather than grasping it quickly with one hand to pull out of my carry-on, as was possible with the GoodKnight.
The Everest 3 meets all my requirements, it's relatively quiet and relatively portable. It helps me get a good night's sleep, which is the main objective. But it's a bit of a step back from the GoodKnight 420G, and I'll miss my old machine. I'm sure I'll eventually get used to the new one."
