The M Series Auto is a small and feature packed CPAP that looks more like a stylish clock radio than a CPAP.
It easily packs away in your carry on luggage, and has an incredible number of high-tech features, including the patented C-Flex comfort feature, self-adjusting pressure, and powerful clinical data features, on-board.
Respironics has added their easy breathing C-Flex technology to the REMstar Auto M Series. Now you can have both the comfort of auto-titrating pressure with the comfort of easy exhalation, all in one CPAP.
The REMstar Auto M Series with C-Flex is is an auto-adjusting CPAP machine which is set for a range of pressures, then seeks out and delivers the lowest level of pressure needed to keep the airway open. With CFLEX technology, not only with the pressure level vary as needed, but it will drop with each exhalation.
The auto-adjusting CPAPs were designed for patients who are unable to participate in a sleep study or whose pressure needs vary during the night according to their stage of sleep or sleep position. However, any patient will receive very comfortable therapy from this type of CPAP.
The REMstar Auto M Series CPAP with REMstar Heated Humidifier includes the following features:
Automatically adjusts pressure based on air-flow limitations from snoring, hypopnea or apnea events.
C-Flex technology offers a more comfortable way to deliver sleep therapy by giving pressure relief at exhalation. The amount the pressure is lowered is determined by one of three settings that you can adjust to your comfort. You can read more about C-Flex by clicking here:

Power Options
Universal Power
The M Series Auto operates automatically between 110v – 240v AC. When traveling either inside or outside the USA, there are no switches to switch or fuses to change. The machine will automatically sense what voltage is needed and set itself to run on the power needed.
The user will need to adapt the plug that goes into the wall to fit the style of outlet socket that is being used. This is simply done with a Power Adapter Plug kit. This is the same type of plug adapter that would be used with a hair dryer or an electric shaver.
The M Series Auto comes equipped with a DC plug on the back of the unit. This allows the user to connect the CPAP to an external DC battery source.
Using a Respironics, 12volt DC Power Cord the Remstar Auto M Series can be powered by plugging into a cigarette lighter plug. This is ideal for traveling by car, boat, or recreational vehicle that is equipped with a cigarette lighter plug.
It is recommended that you use a 100 amp hour, 12v DC deep cycle marine battery for operating you CPAP machine when not connected to 110v AC /230v AC.
There are two cables needed to configure the M Series Auto with a Marine Deep Cycle Battery. They fit together to make a connection from the back of the M Series Remstar Auto to the battery clip terminals on the marine battery.
Here are the links to the cables needed to hook up to a marine style battery. Both cables are needed.
The Respironics Battery Pack has been a long standing favorite of our customer’s. It weighs in at 13lbs and can be carried easily with its shoulder strap.
This battery pack will give roughly 26 hours of use, depending on the cpap pressure setting. (Results may vary.)

Review of M Series Auto CPAP Machine with C-Flex
October 01, 2009

"Over the last 5 years I have used two CPAP machines (a Fisher-Paykel HC221 w/ heated reservoir, and a Respironics RemStar M-Series also w/ heated reservoir). Although both were billed as "top of the line", neither were really satisfactory to use. Both had similar problems. When the machines are set to the pressure recommended from the sleep study they were miserable to use. There would be inevitable leakage around the mask, or air would be forced out through my mouth when I'd fallen asleep - painfully desicating it, or both (depending on the type of mask I used - I've got 3 different kinds).
Recently my doctor tested me at home on the RemStar M Series AUTO CPAP (no reservoir) to see if a better pressure could be found. Wow!!! What an amazing difference! As far as I'm concerned the tests were irrelevant. The machine is the answer. This machine constantly changes the pressure with each breath, so there is never too much air being blown into the mask. Now, I get all the air I want/need without the sense of excess pressure. Gone are the incessant mask leakages, and awakening with "Death Valley mouth".
As far as I'm concerned auto-titrating machines are the ONLY way to go. Does it cost more? Yes. Is it worth it? You betcha!"
works great and is cost effective purchase.

"The auto and C-flex features make the less than desirable need to use a CPAP device more comfortable than I expected. The first night the auto feature of the machine adjusted the setting to a higher setting than had been determined at hospital during the CPAP sleep study. The ability of this machine to optimize the pressure is very convenient compared to a friend of mine who has a fixed pressure on their machine and has to have another sleep study done to determine the new setting."
Somewhat noisy

"I used the product first time last night with humidifyer attchment. Really had a good nights sleep. disapointed with the noise level, it is louder or equal to my respironic 6 year old model. Complaint from my wife who used ear plugs."
Very Quiet

"This machine is very quiet. As soon as you put the mask on, it self-activates. I have never used a CPAP machine before, but this one seems very intuitive and consistent. The design is sleek and black. It hardly looks like a medical device on my nightstand. The additional card and reader have ample amount of data that my doctor can use . My husband is delighted that he is getting a good night's rest, because I am no longer struggling with snoring and breathing."
