The difference between Respironics C-Flex and ResMed EPR is discussed in the second article of our December 2005 newsletter. These two features are not the same and it is important to understand their differences.
You should be aware that some interface devices with narrow tubes, such as the Nasal Aire or the Breeze with Nasal Pillows, may have an impact on the ability of this and other auto CPAPs to accurately respond to airflow restrictions during use.
A ResMed DC-12 Converter For S8 Machines must be used with the 12 volt jack. Any other cable will likely cause a machine failure.
CPAP machines come with a six foot hose, a travel bag and manuals. Masks are not included and must be purchased separately. We will be happy to help you with sizing and offer suggestions on current popular masks.
Do not run this machine on a regular AC to DC inverter. A pure sine wave inverter must be used. We sell these on the website.
The EPR and Auto features cannot be used simultaneously.
All S8 and S8 II CPAP Machines utilize a "Cool Down" feature that runs the CPAP Motor up to 1 hour after turning the machine off. The motor helps to cool off the humidifier plate. You may hear a "faint blowing sound" when you turn the machine off. However, you can unplug the power cord and allow the heater plate to cool without airflow.

Very quiet machine
January 08, 2010
(5 out of 5) by David P, MARIETTA, GA
"I first tried this machine when my Remstar had to go in for warranty work and this was a loaner. I loved it then for it is so quiet, easy to use, compact, and worked great. My Remstar then bit the dust and was out of warranty, so I needed to purchase a new machine. Lucky for me, this one was on sale and i got a great deal. I have had it for a week and it is great. No regrets and it is quieter than my Remstar ever was. It is a great choice."

"All aspects of the buying process were made easy and I was kept informed by e-mail promptly regarding the ordering, the delivery and the performance. I was pleased with the person taking the order and will surely use this company again for my next purchase, be it major or minor. The machine has exceeded my expectations and would recommend it to all."
Good machine

"I purchased this Resmed machine although I previously had a Remstar M series machine. This machine is good, although I see some differences between the two. The price however, was excellent albeit it was a closeout as they have a newer model now. I'm still very happy with the one I got."

"I only will be using all the products I bought from you, in the beginning of next year, so, for the time being, I can't make any comment about them."

"This got here quickly and in great condition.
The only drawback that I've noticed so far - my old CPAP had a light that indicated when the heater for the humidifier was on--with this one I have to look at the display--which is not done while laying down.
I've tested this one with lower settings (5-10) and it was fairly quiet. I now have the settings I'm supposed to have (10-15) and it is louder but so very much quieter than the older model I used to have.
I also like the carry case that it comes with--and overall it is so much lighter in weight than the one I've used for the past 5 years."
