"Not much to say about this item, it has a nice form factor, and seems to work well. I like independent adjustment knob (vs. the old menus on the CPAP machine)."

(5 out of 5) by Kevin M, AZ
"Humidifier is easy to use and a lot smaller then my old unit so it does not waist water. And I am looking forward to winter to see how while it work to help me avoid breathing in cold air. In the past I had to wrap the Humidifier with a towel to avoid the cold air."

compact, effective
June 26, 2008
(5 out of 5) by David M, AZ
"Integral unit is compact, unit holds enough water for about two nights use on middle setting.
I live in the desert, and a humidifier is essential for all CPAP users here. If you are going to get the Respironics machine, definitely spend the extra for the integral unit. Other units can be used but they are either passover type (bulky and less efficient) or simple take up more space due to non-integrated design.
The cpap machine sits in a tray beside the humidifier and is screwed down to lock it in place. It can be removed if necessary, but most of the time you won't, so the secure way the machine and humidifier fits together is nice.
Don't overfill unit, or you will spill water when you turn it horizontally. Unit has a fill line. Comes apart easily to clean, though I haven't need to do this yet."

"This humidifier is very hard to put back together after washing, so discourages proper cleaning. It takes me about five minutes each time to get the seal aligned properly and even after it appears the seal is straight and properly aligned it often leaks."
