"The machine arrived quickly and was as described in the overview. I was concerned about the sound level as I had read some reviews saying that it was a loud machine. I was surprised to find that it was actually much more quite than my old Respironics sleep easy machine. I was also curious about the humidifier as one review said that you have to take the machine apart to refill. That is completely false. The water tray is an easy to slide out tray. No problems for me. I like it a lot. Looking forward to trying out the battery."

"I purchased the Everest 2 in anticipation of a camping trip. When if first turned it on to use, the air it was pumping out had an awful smell. I had to run it for a couple of days to get mostly rid of the smell. Now that's pretty much gone. In the meantime I asked CPAP.com to send me one that didn't have the awful smell. The second smelled as bad as the first.
The machine works fine when plugged into the wall. When I tried using the battery only, it only lasted about 5 hours with the humidifier. It lasted the whole night without the humidifier, but I got lousy sleep.
I have yet to try recharging the battery with the portable power cord for car power plugs.
Although others have complained of the noise, I don't find it particularly noisy."

"This little machine is a little smaller than a kleenex cube. I have been using it for about a week and have not had any complaints. Others have complained about the brightness of the display- on mine it is only on for about 10 seconds, not a problem. I bought it for travel, it is much smaller and lighter than my cinderblock Respironics machine. Features that I really like besides the size and weight are the length of the power cord-about 10 feet(similar to a laptop's), and the nice carrying case that comes with the machine. The bag is compact yet roomy- I can carry the cpap, my hoses and mask as well as my wife's digital SLR camera in it without crowding. The bag has a strap on the back to let you slide it over the handle of your rolling suit/brief case."
