This is the replacement cushion for the Ultra Mirage or Ultra Mirage II nasal mask. Any size cushion can be used on the mask frame. For instance, if a large size cushion is too big, a standard size cushion could be installed on the same frame and vice versa.
A shallow cushion is the same size as the standard except it has less of a curve at the bridge area and is designed for individuals with a fairly flat nose bridge.
Shallow-Wide is best used on faces with a fairly flat nose bridge and a wide to very wide nose.

"You really need a fresh mask cushion to maintain a good fit; however, I felt I needed to replace Ultra Mirage nasal mask cushion a little sooner (4-5 months instead of 5-6 months) I had to with my previous mask (ComfortGel Nasal Mask). However, if rest of the gear holds up, ultimately my costs will be slightly (slightly) better even if I replace the mask cushion more often."

"I tried full face mask, and was unable to keep my sanity. I have had excellent results with the UM mask, and have used one for about 7 years. I use 20 lbs. on the inhale and 16 lbs. for exhale, and the mask works fine. The mask is very durable, and rebuildable, with parts ordered through cpap.com. I just blew out the nose silicone piece on a mask after maybe 5 years, but I had a new one the next day, after ordering. I keep a spare of everything, including a mask, and a bipap, since a breakdown is the end of sleep for me. Once you order from cpap.com, you don't need to remember every detail, like standard mask size, verses a large mask size, they already know what your equipment is. The people at cpap.com really know their stuff, and are a pleasure to work with. For starters, I have never written a review about anything, but I had my share of trouble when I had to find a mask. Good Luck!"
