Important Tips
This software works with the CPAPs and the GoodKnight 425 Bilevel. The software allows access to records of up to 200 sessions of date/time usage data for the 425. For the 420E, it provides detailed recording and analysis of the last 96 hours of operation. It displays persistent residual apnea, hypopnea and snoring events that occur at set-pressure, allowing appropriate adjustments to therapy. It includes a 6-foot download cable as well as one user manual each for the GoodKnight 420S and the 420E CPAPs, and one for the GoodKnight 425 Bilevel.
The 425 will not give you detailed data when downloading.

"Did not work at first on the laptop. Had to do some research to get it to work. It now works and I'm very pleased with it. Thank you very much.."
Thomas N, Tualatin, OR – September 05, 2009
"Does not come with only serial cable which is very inconvenient."

Kirby B, Las Cruces, NM – October 07, 2008
"This software has been a wonderful purchase. I have only been using it for one week but it has given me the ability to titrate my 420E and the results are already noticable. Thank you CPAP.com for making this available."
Detlef v, Mamer/Luxembourg, -- – October 01, 2008
"Helpful software in order to find the right pressure and mask for the CPAP.
Only problem I had was the somewhat exorbitant shipping charge for this product. It is quite incomprehensible why the software has to be shipped with three different weighty hardcopy manuals since these manuals are also included on the disk."
great software with poor cable
Chan C, -- – June 28, 2008
"I like the data management software. However the cable is com port connection. My PC doesn't have com port. I have to find a USB to Serial Converter to solve problem. also have to test from com1-com6. I found out my com4 work. I suggest the cable made in USB 2.0 instead of still using serial com port connection. So The speed of data transfering from CPAP to PC with faster and no need to test com1-com8. It will be more convenient for users."
*Note: The older pre-M Respironics CPAP, APAP and BiPAP Pro 2 with Bi-Flex, the ResMed S7 VPAP III, S8 Elite, and the Puritan Bennett Goodnight 420S, 420SP, and 420E record full data.
What does CPAP software do?
CPAP software allows the downloading of information from certain CPAP machines. Information on breathing, pressure levels delivered, apneas, etc. is available to help determine the effectiveness of CPAP therapy. Software is not required to operate a CPAP machine. CPAP Software also provides more data than obtained through the on screen display or SmartCode. The CPAP Software also allows you and your doctor to drill into any night of data recorded and view the data on an hour by hour basis.
Some CPAP manufacturer maintains a proprietary software package that is only compatible with their machines.
