Relief at last!

"I have been using a CPAP for less than six months and have had a hard time finding a mask that worked well for me. I like the Mirage masks overall, but the Vista works better for me than a full mask as the full masks leave marks/bruises on my nose. For that reason, I bought Vista with the deep cushion. This was also the suggestion that came up when I put my measurements in the online mask sizing guide. While it has taken a few nights to find the right adjustment, this one has been by far the most helpful one. I have also had to experiment how high or low to wear the mask on my nose. I like the Opus 360 as far as having less to restrict, but I can't stand the air blowing directly up my nose. The Vista fits secure enough for me to roll onto my side, which is my favorite sleeping position. I have felt deprived of sleeping on my side up until I received the Vista last week. Now I go to sleep within a few minutes and usually sleep throughout the night. I did make the mistake of hooking the mask part upside down at first, but it didn't take long to realize this had to be wrong! :) I have recommended this mask to two or three friends and relatives. It is a big plus that it doesn't have the forehead brace. I recommend you don't give up right away if you can't get the adjustment just right. I found it leaked into my eyes until I placed it further up my nose. The adustments on the side also come in handy.
CPAP.com ships fast and has great customer service. I received an immediate response to the notes I put in my initial order. A doctor I work with said he thought the price was very good."

My Nose is soar

"I wanted a mask that would work for me that would also leave my forehead open. I found that this mask had a very comfortable headgear. The cleaning was compact and easy. The only draw back I found in this mask is that the plastic inside the seal hits my nose and causes a raw spot under my nose."

Love it or Hate it?
September 08, 2009

"This is the mask you either love or hate.
After trying the traditional type that press a giant pad in the middle of your forehead and not liking them, I decided why not try this out. I loved it! This works for me just fine.
It did require a bit of adjustment to get it just right but it feels great and no pad pressing on my forehead!
Some complain about the leakage around the eyes; which I too had until some more adjustments and fine tuning. Now it fits great.
The only things I would like to see improved on are the way the elbow releases from the mask frame. The places where you press in seem really cheap and are kind of hard to find. These should be a little easier on your fingers when trying to press these in.
The other issue is the vent. Why the blow out the front at a slight angle design? When you turn and sleep on your side it will sometimes blow into the pillow so loud it wakes you up. Why not put a diffuser over this to not have the steady stream of air causing noise to wake you. This has also awoke my wife when I turned and the air stream blasted her in the face!
Overall however this is still the best mask I found for me!"

good mask

"This is the second Mirage Vista mask that I have purchased so I like it pretty well. Nasal prongs irritate the inside of my nose and all other nasal masks irritate the bridge of my nose quite badly. However, the Vista mask is comfortable, does not irritate the bridge of my nose, and does a pretty good job of sealing air. I use a deep size. However, the vent is quite loud and the hose squeeks as it moves around which disturbs my sleep at times. I had no trouble setting up the headgear but it does need frequent adjusting."

Mirage Vista CPAP Mask

"This is the 2nd one of these I've bought, and I'm very satisfied. The only issue I've found is that the headgear strap assembly eventually stretches and wears out, causing airleaks around the seal of the mask. With the airleaks blowing into your eyes, you don't sleep well. I would like to see the headgear strap sold SEPARATELY, since it's not necessary to replace the mask every time."
