"The humidifier attaches easily to the CPAP machine. It is easy to remove, see the water level and clean. However, even on a setting of only 3 out of 5 for humidity level, mine needs refilling after just 2 nights of use. I guess this is the trade between size (I like the small size and ease of portability) and how long it lasts."

"I love the humidifier. We live in a dry climate, and the humidifier makes breathing night and day much easier and has helped with my perpetual winter dry cough."

"I have used this product for several years in conjunction with 2 C-PAP machines. They have performed flawlessly during this period, are well mated to the machines and are necessary if the user wishes to prevent dry throat. The updated Respironics units have been size reduced and are an improvement if you take the machine while traveling. The heating option is useful if you live in a cold area when house tempretures are down at night or you are camping (see C-PAP machine review of mine)"

Humidifier, Heated

"Mine came set at 1. Manual recommends setting at 2. I found setting mine at 4 finally made it work for me. Once I got right setting, my mouth and sinuses don't dry out unless I end up breathing out of mouth for a long time."

"The humidifier makes all the difference! Before owning one, I got the occasional dry, sore, throat. Then I went down with a throat infection, and I just couldn't get over it. So I bought my first humidifier, and I was getting better after 24 hours.
The humidifier integrates nicely with the Respironics M Series machine. It's a bit bulky when travelling, but fits nicely in the Respironics CPAP travel bag (but then there's no room for a mask in the bag).
Here in the UK purified water is quite expensive, and tap water causes limescale build-up after just one night. Supermarket bottled mineral water works nicely and is cheap. I soak the water talk in a vinegar solution around once per month."
