Humidifier and Funnel

"I've used this same humidifier for years without any problem at all including the container to hold the water. Its never leaked. The funnel is great and the right size, not bulky and easy to travel with. The reason I got the second humidifier is one for home and one for traveling."

Best Humidity Ever

"I have an APAP machine that has heated humidity, but felt that it wasn't giving me enough; sinuses sometimes sore in the morning. I have used this for several days now and believe I'm sleeping more soundly. It does go through significantly more distilled water but it's sure worth it knowing it's adding more moisture to my sinuses and lungs. (I also purchased a quilted hose cover that does a fantastic job of decreasing any rain out.)I would buy it again."

HC150 Heated Humidifier works better than ResMed HumidAire
July 15, 2008

"When I first started sleep therapy with a Respironics BiPap unit, it came with a Fisher & Paykel HC150 Heated Humidifier, which worked very well for me and allowed me to sleep throughout the night without waking up from a dry mouth. When the unit failed, my new medical provider's durable medical equipment division could not get a replacement unit or fix the old one, so they provided me with a HumidAire humidifier instead. That unit was very well built, but it did NOT work for me--my mouth dried out after less than an hour even at the highest setting. After trying to make it work for several months, I quit using my BiPap machine entirely and, of course, the symptoms of excessive tiredness, etc. from sleep apnea recurred. Finally, I found the HC150 unit at Cpap.com, which had it for a reasonable price and shipped it the next day. The new HC150 is working perfectly, and I am now back on BiPap therapy--it allows me to sleep through the night. I especially like the fact that the HC150 kit comes with a base and 2 HC325 water chambers and quick connect plastic pieces for the hoses, so I can keep a second chamber of water by the unit--the chamber is not quite big enough to go through the entire night, so I just switch to the second chamber without having to get up to refill the chamber with distilled water. I guess that it is the ambient control sensor in the HC150 Humidifier that makes all the difference in heating and humidifying the air to make it possible to tolerate the constant flow of pressurized air delivered by the BiPap machine. I would highly recommend the HC150 unit to anyone considering a heated humidifier for their Cpap or BiPap sleep therapy."

"My previous Fisher Paykel heated humidifier lasted two years and three months. Since Medicare will only reimburse for the purchase of a heated himidifier every five years, I was very happy to find the exact product on line for only $149. The ****** Medicare amount was $426.
The humidifier is the same as my former one except that the new model does not have the elbow connectors. The straight tubes seem to work find. The base platform secures the machine so that it won't be tipped over during the night. The instructions seem to be more thorough than the previous ones I have received, which will result in my being more careful in filling and cleaning the water container."
