Optimum pillow mask

"I've tried probably 20 masks. This was my favorite nasal pillow mask. The headgear was fairly comfortable and stayed in place well during the night. I liked the new pillow shapes and configuration. They seemed to sit well under my nose all night. I still have several dry mouth issues with any non full face mask but a chin strap is helping with that. I really liked the minimal amount of mask and gear with this one. Great for reading and TV because of no visual obstruction. I would recommend it to anyone that likes this style of mask."

Very Unstable Mask

"This unit is very unstable. The seal around my nostrils is easily broken with the slightest movement of my head, no matter how many different ways it is adjusted.
Without a front stabalizing mechanism of some type, this mask is easily moved out of place. The chin strap also seems ineffective. I wish I had purchased the return insurance. I do not recommend this mask."

"Love this mask. It is the 4th one I've tried and this is the best..the last one I used was the Comfort Curve by Respironics... it was good but would irritate my skin... this mask does not obstruct my view, so I can read or watch tv and I can sleep on my side, stomach, and it does not come off!! Awesome.."

My 2nd Set

"I've tried a varitey of nasal pillow brands over the years but this one is by far the most comfortable and effective of various brands I've used. Consequently, this is the second one I've purchased for my back-up CPAP machine. The two features I appeciate the most are: the intgration of the chin-support with the unit and the tubing flowing below the nose rather than above the head. I need chin support to keep my mouth closed when sleeping and this design provides a comfortable, adjustalbe and almost passive approach to the support issue. As the breating tube travels south from the nose, I find this very comfortable when repositionig my head/body when sleeping as well as minimal interfearence when watching TV or reading."

"This is the second Optilife mask I have purchased. The last one was 1 1/2 years ago. The mask is very well constructed and the only reason I replaced it is that the head strap velcros were getting a little ratty.
The mask fits well and does not feel tight. There are a few occasional air leaks but what mask desnt leak sometime? The mask is so non-intrusive you can talk, read, watch television or whatever with ease.
My only objection is the co2 blowoff vent location. it is located directly in front of my mouth so if I turn towards my wife during the night I blast her with a stream of cold air. This, in turn, has caused a bruised rib occasionally as she politely tells me to roll over the other way.
This is a very good mask. Buy it."
