Ultra-Quiet: 86% quieter than the original Swift; the Swift II mask is ultra-quiet and can help improve your sleep and that of your partner as well. The air vent is located on the frame instead of the cushion and disperses air gently downward more in line with natural breathing.
Small, Lightweight, and Travel Friendly: At 2.5 ounces, this mask will not weigh you down. It has a very small footprint that covers less of the face. The pillows rest gently just under the nose. It folds up for easy travel. The minimal design creates comfort and helps users with better compliance and allows for reading or watching TV at bedtime even with glasses on.
Improved Pillows: The details are microscopic but the user can feel it. ResMed has completed comprehensive studies using anthropometry (the study of human body measurements on a comparative basis) using a vast range of nasal and facial features and then improved the design of the pillows. This allows for a better seal and optimized comfort and fit for a wide range of people. All pillow sizes are interchangeable with the mask frame.
Adjustable Angle: An adjustable rotating pillow sleeve allows the user to select the best angle to conform to their unique facial features and helps to create ideal comfort and a superior seal.
Flexibility Counts: The pillows, pillow sleeve, and the neck that connect them both are flexible and supple enabling for more comfort and a better fit and for some movement of the nasal and facial features.
Easy Fitting: The Swift II comes with Small, Medium, and Large size pillows included and fitting is quick and easy. After initial fitting and adjustment the Swift II can be put on without velcro or clips. No need for daily readjustment.
Ease of Cleaning: Assembly and disassembly are simple and easy, with very few parts, making for effortless cleaning or replacement of parts.
Choice in Tube Position: The tube can be placed up (attached to the headgear) or down and on either side making for freedom and comfort and flexibility for the user.
Secure Headgear: The design of the headgear allows for secure placement and fit, improves stability and seal, without the need to over tighten.

Do you move around a lot when you sleep? These masks are ideal for users who either sleep on their side or stomach or restless sleepers who toss and turn. There are a few specialized cushions that address this issue as well as most Nasal Pillow and Prong CPAP masks.
Indicates which masks come packaged with more than one cushion, pillow or prong. Masks can come packaged with ALL Sizes or a combination of sizes as a Fit Pack. This is ideal for users who have not tried the mask before and do not know the right size to select.
These masks offer replaceable cushions, pillows, or prongs. These unique CPAP Masks offer replaceable cushions as a low cost solution to keep your mask feeling and working like new.
These masks are designed to prevent mouth leaks. If you are opening your mouth during the night, airflow escapes and reduces therapy effectiveness. Users who are experiencing a dry mouth, sore throat, or sinus congestion may require a mask that seals around the mouth.
This property identifies masks that are ideal for small facial features. Any mask with a size petite or extra small will be marked 'Yes'. Nasal Pillow masks are ideal because they accommodate the size of the 'nare' or nasal openings, not the face.
TV Friendly CPAP masks have interfaces that avoid obstructing your vision so you can read or watch TV before going to bed. Any mask designed without a forehead piece will fall under this property.
Tired of adjusting your headgear every time you take your mask off during the night? Quick-Clips allow users to easily remove and replace the mask on your face without re-adjusting the headgear straps.
These masks have the least amount of material around the face, fewer headgear points, and offers more freedom when you sleep. Most Nasal Pillow and Nasal Prong masks are ideal for claustrophobic users.
The value will be marked 'Yes' for CPAP masks with interfaces that are unique to CPAP users with wide facial features. Masks with 'Wide' cushion sizes would fall under this category. Nasal pillow and prong masks are ideal for wide faces because the seal occurs around the nare, not the face.
These CPAP masks have interfaces that accommodate a wide variety of facial hair styles. Gel cushions and foam inserts provide support and comfort for users who may need to over-tighten headgear straps to help seal around facial hair. Silicone gel also helps create a fluid seal over the hair.

Important Tips
Since the pillow barrel of the Swift rests against the philtrum (the part of the face below the nose and above the lips for stability), this may not be the best device for those with thicker mustaches.
ResMed recently changed to an improved Swift cushion material that is thinner and does not turn yellow over time. Unfortunately, some customers find that the thinner cushions are not firm enough to provide a good seal. If you used have used the original Mirage Swift successfully in the past, please use caution and consider purchasing Return Insurance.
"very comfotable, can sleep all night without leaks."
Good overall mask
Jim H, OH – August 25, 2010
"A really good starter mask, especially if you've tried others and have troubles. It is a little heavier than some but that gives it great stability. The nose pillows are very easy to fit and use. Mine work out over a few years so I tried a lighter version but I'd go back to this mask in a heartbeat if needed."
Ronald P, TX – August 25, 2010
"This is the only headgear I've worn. Works well, have not tried any others."
Mirage Swift II
Bobby B, TX – August 24, 2010
"I purchased the Mirage Swift because I wanted to try something new. I've used a cpap for a little over 25 years and have always used the mask that covers the nose. I hated it because I would never get a good night sleep because when I would move in my sleep the mask would leak and either make a loud squealing noise or would blow air into my eye which would wake me up. Since I purchased the mirage swift it's been great, good night sleep, comfortable an noooooo leaking air. It did bother my nose for the first 3-4 nights with the preasure of the straps pulling up, but after the 5th night the soreness went away. After using the marage for 3 nights I called CPAP,COM and had them send me 2 more mirage swift. Great product..THANKS"
difficulty exhaling
Dan B, PA – August 01, 2010
"I have noticed that it is difficult to exhale with this mask. I believe there also may be some rebreathing of air as well."

How often should I replace my mask?
Medicare allows for mask cushion replacement every three (3) months and complete mask system replacement every six (6) months. CPAP manufacturers and vendors suggest these replacement schedules as well.
In our experience, most mask cushions begin to deteriorate after about six months of use. The silicone eventually becomes too soft to hold a seal and headgear straps must be tightened more and more to get the same quality seal.
We strongly suggest replacing cushions and pillows as soon as they start to soften. Air leaks may reduce the effectiveness of CPAP therapy and headgear that is too tight may cause facial sores at pressure points. You can also replace the headgear of your mask if it is stretched out or the Velcro worn out.
To see what parts of your mask are replaceable refer to our Replacement Part Finder. Search for your mask and then see all of the replaceable parts.
How do I care for my mask?
Masks should be washed daily in warm water with baby shampoo and left to air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask. Avoid soaps with lotion or lanolin which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember to go to bed with a clean face, this will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask.
The best time to clean your mask is in the morning so that the oils from your skin are removed. We recommend using mask wipes to make daily morning cleanings easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.

Why might I prefer a nasal pillow mask?
Nasal pillow delivery systems offer less contact with the face than either full face or traditional nasal masks. This system works well for those who tend to feel closed in or claustrophobic. Many nasal pillow systems have nothing that cross in front of the bridge of the nose allowing for a clear line of sight for reading or watching TV.
It can be easier to achieve a seal with this system, because there is less for you to adjust and less surface area to create and hold a seal.
Nasal pillow systems may work well for someone with a mustache or beard as the seal occurs only at the nares or nasal opening.
Someone who has a facial mole or scar near or around the nose, may find getting a seal with a traditional nasal mask difficult. Nasal pillows are an option in this circumstance.
Most nasal pillow masks also come with all sizes included to make finding the right size easier.
