"This is the second time I have used this mask. I like it because you can use it without the headgear. It has a double hose attached to the nasal prongs, which makes it possible to use without the headgear.
I do not like the fact that the hoses get stiff in a very short time."

"Been a c-pap user for 8 years, this the best of the best for nasal pillow only use. May not work for everyones problems, ie, high pressure. Dr. always ask 'how many hours a night do you wear unit', I tell him 'it's all my asleep time'."

Darn Hoses

"I've been using the Nasal Aire II for five or six years. I like the fit and comfort of the nasal piece, Although, I have to say that I need something between XL and L. Seems like a waste of materials and $ sending out every size with the mask.
What I don't like about the mask is that the two hoses that go from the cpap hose to your nostrils wears out in about 5 months. By "wears out" I mean the hoses start to change color and get stiff. At that point the mask doesn't fit properly because of the lack of flexibility of the hoses.
What is most discouraging is that these two hoses can't be replaced although, the other parts of the mask are!#$%$ The hoses are the only thing that wears out! Very frustrating.
Still have to say that I love the fit. I don't wear the headgear. I just loop the two hoses over my ears and use one of the straps across the back of my head. I also put a small sliding piece of the headgear at the front of my chest."

"As I Have Been Using The Nasal Prong System For Many Years Now I Have Detected A Slight Change In The Prongs They Seem To Be Getting Closer Together It Doesn't Feel The Same As The Original Nasal Air But In Saying That The Product Packaging And The Choice Of Prongs Is Excellant And Again Very Keenly Priced For What You Get Excellent Product."

Lowest leaks I've ever had...
June 07, 2009
(4 out of 5) by John B, CA
"I've been a hose head for only 6m, and this is only the 5th mask I've tried, but it's consistently got the least leaks of the group.
Pro's - comes w/ full set of prongs, so you can self size easily, once you have it adjusted well, it stays in place. And as for leaks, I've gone from mid-50's to 60's (and sometimes higher) to 40-43.
Con's - does take some getting used to. I'd say that about every mask so far, but my nostrils do still feel "stretched" every morning. Headgear is more complicated than most to put on in the evening. I found the recommended position for the hoses on just above the ear didn't work for me as a side sleeper, so I moved them higher. This is now tight under my throat (if I spend 30s adjusting it, it's not constricting). Some people on cpaptalk.com say it works for them if they have the Y-connector not under their chin but in the back of their head, but the prongs come loose and "pop-out" if I try this.
But - don't get me wrong - I give this a 4 stars, and because of it's low leak rate, am trying to switch to it as my main mask (from a Swift LT pillows)."
