ResMed has completed a total redesign of the Mirage Swift series of pillow masks. Changes can be seen on the headgear, pillow cushion, and overall performance.
Ultra-Quiet Almost twice as quiet than the original Swift and 71% quieter than the Swift II. The air vent is located on the frame instead of the cushion and disperses air gently downward more in line with natural breathing.
Small, Lightweight, and Travel Friendly At 2.3 ounces, this mask will not weigh you down. It has one of the smallest footprints that covers less of the face. The pillows rest gently just under the nose. The mask's frame is half the size of both previous Mirage Swift designs. It folds up for easy travel. The minimal design creates comfort and helps users with better therapy effectiveness and allows for reading or watching TV at bedtime, even with glasses on.
Improved Pillows Pillows now come with a dual-wall design that provides improved stability and comfort. Along with an added flexible pillow base, the cushion allows for movement without breaking the seal. All pillow sizes are interchangeable with the mask frame.
Headgear Unlike any headgear before, the Swift LT uses a patented rotating barrel to adjust the pillow angle. The stability arms expand to accommodate most facial widths including narrow or wide faces.
Easy Fitting The Swift LT comes with Small, Medium, and Large size pillows included and fitting is quick and easy. After initial fitting and adjustment of the Velcro straps, there is no need for daily readjustment.
Ease of Cleaning Assembly and disassembly are simple and easy, with very few parts, making for effortless cleaning or replacement of parts.
Do you move around a lot when you sleep? These masks are ideal for users who either sleep on their side or stomach or restless sleepers who toss and turn. There are a few specialized cushions that address this issue as well as most Nasal Pillow and Prong CPAP masks.
These masks are designed to prevent mouth leaks. If you are opening your mouth during the night, airflow escapes and reduces therapy effectiveness. Users who are experiencing a dry mouth, sore throat, or sinus congestion may require a mask that seals around the mouth.
TV Friendly CPAP masks have interfaces that avoid obstructing your vision so you can read or watch TV before going to bed. Any mask designed without a forehead piece will fall under this property.
These masks have the least amount of material around the face, fewer headgear points, and offers more freedom when you sleep. Most Nasal Pillow and Nasal Prong masks are ideal for claustrophobic users.
These masks offer replaceable cushions, pillows, or prongs. These unique CPAP Masks offer replaceable cushions as a low cost solution to keep your mask feeling and working like new.
Tired of adjusting your headgear every time you take your mask off during the night? Quick-Clips allow users to easily remove and replace the mask on your face without re-adjusting the headgear straps.
Indicates which masks come packaged with more than one cushion, pillow or prong. Masks can come packaged with ALL Sizes or a combination of sizes as a Fit Pack. This is ideal for users who have not tried the mask before and do not know the right size to select.
This property identifies masks that are ideal for small facial features. Any mask with a size petite or extra small will be marked 'Yes'. Nasal Pillow masks are ideal because they accommodate the size of the 'nare' or nasal openings, not the face.
The value will be marked 'Yes' for CPAP masks with interfaces that are unique to CPAP users with wide facial features. Masks with 'Wide' cushion sizes would fall under this category. Nasal pillow and prong masks are ideal for wide faces because the seal occurs around the nare, not the face.
These CPAP masks have interfaces that accommodate a wide variety of facial hair styles. Gel cushions and foam inserts provide support and comfort for users who may need to over-tighten headgear straps to help seal around facial hair. Silicone gel also helps create a fluid seal over the hair.

"Very uncomfortable around the nose. Couldn't every prevent leaks."
Best one yet
Thomas R, CA – January 11, 2012
"I've tried 5 different masks and this one wins hands down. I liked the OPUS 360 a lot, but this one is more comfortable and less likely to leak for me. I paired this with a RESMED S9 APAP and, for the first time ever, putting on the mask at night is not something I dread. I'm not waking up in the middle of the night to adjust the headgear or nasal pillows."
Best ever used!
Larry P, TN – January 06, 2012
"I have used several types of mask and head gear over the years and have found this one to be the most comfortable and less restrictive than most. Try it, you will like it!"
Improved comfort
David L, WI – November 08, 2011
"This is my second Swift LT mask. I am not sure, but believe that the head gear has been thankfully updated, as this one fits far better than the last. The padding and support seems slightly larger and better fitting on the cheeks, and the perhaps the contour has been revised as well, as the headgear no longer digs into the top of my ear as it used to - I have seen other users complain of this. I find the seal and adjustability to be quite good, better than the Swift LX. I could not get good seal and reasonable comfort with that mask (though it had a comfortable headgear)."
Great Mask
Richard W, IL – November 03, 2011
"Comfortable, stays sealed, best mask I've ever used."

Product Challenge 7
The Swift LT was challenged by the Breeze Sleepgear and won with a score of 36 to 14.
What Participants liked about the Swift LT Nasal Pillow Mask: "It is comfortable, portable, and quiet. The pillows are soft and flexible, and seem to almost melt onto your nare." - Randall P.
Participants found the mask lightweight
Easy to clean due to snap in pillows and clearly marked parts for reassembly
Dual sided pillows offer a great seal
Secure enough for many active sleepers
What Participants want improved about this mask: "Much lighter and therefore more comfortable. After a few months of use, the straps lose their elasticity and need to be adjusted more frequently throughout the night." - Manfred S.
To find a good seal takes a lot of initial experimenting, but once achieved the seal stays intact
Several mention a need for the mask to achieve a seal without agitating pressure points on the nasal septum and upper lip

Product Challenge 10
The Swift LT was challenged by the Opus 360 and tied with a score of 25 to 25.
What Participants liked about the Swift LT Nasal Pillow Mask: ”I've tried 5 different masks (all nasal pillow style), and the Swift LT is the only one I like and the only one I will buy again.” - Ronald C
23 of those who selected the Swift LT mask did so because of the superior fit. The most common problem experienced by all participants was fit
No participants experienced waking up with red marks on their face from the Swift LT
Many preferred the independently adjustable pillows
Most found the mask easy to clean do to snap in pillows and clearly marked parts for reassembly
What Participants want improved about this mask: ”This mask [the Swift LT] is great if you adjust it to fit and then don't move. But if you are a 'active' sleeper you will be disappointed as you will often wake up and have to readjust to get your proper seal back.”- David G.
6 out of the 7 participants who mentioned their bed partners in their review requested a modified exhaust port. The air vented straight out, preventing participants from facing their partners in bed
11 participants want a softer top attachment clip, similar to but more stable than the Velcro of the Opus 360
Several mention a need for the mask to achieve a seal without agitating pressure points on the nasal septum and upper lip

How often should I replace my mask?
Medicare allows for mask cushion replacement every three (3) months and complete mask system replacement every six (6) months. CPAP manufacturers and vendors suggest these replacement schedules as well.
In our experience, most mask cushions begin to deteriorate after about six months of use. The silicone eventually becomes too soft to hold a seal and headgear straps must be tightened more and more to get the same quality seal.
We strongly suggest replacing cushions and pillows as soon as they start to soften. Air leaks may reduce the effectiveness of CPAP therapy and headgear that is too tight may cause facial sores at pressure points. You can also replace the headgear of your mask if it is stretched out or the Velcro worn out.
To see what parts of your mask are replaceable refer to our Replacement Part Finder. Search for your mask and then see all of the replaceable parts.
How do I care for my mask?
Masks should be washed daily in warm water with baby shampoo and left to air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask. Avoid soaps with lotion or lanolin which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember to go to bed with a clean face, this will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask.
The best time to clean your mask is in the morning so that the oils from your skin are removed. We recommend using mask wipes to make daily morning cleanings easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.

Why might I prefer a nasal pillow mask?
Nasal pillow delivery systems offer less contact with the face than either full face or traditional nasal masks. This system works well for those who tend to feel closed in or claustrophobic. Many nasal pillow systems have nothing that cross in front of the bridge of the nose allowing for a clear line of sight for reading or watching TV.
It can be easier to achieve a seal with this system, because there is less for you to adjust and less surface area to create and hold a seal.
Nasal pillow systems may work well for someone with a mustache or beard as the seal occurs only at the nares or nasal opening.
Someone who has a facial mole or scar near or around the nose, may find getting a seal with a traditional nasal mask difficult. Nasal pillows are an option in this circumstance.
Most nasal pillow masks also come with all sizes included to make finding the right size easier.
