Important Tips
This ADAM Interface package includes three sets of nasal pillows (S,M,L), headgear, flex tube, swivel, angle adapter and shell.
"I got the model with the denim headgear. I found the headgear very comfortable. I also found the nasal pillows very comfortable.
Unfortunately, for me there is a fatal flaw. The hose is held to the headgear with velcro straps. They mostly do a good job of preventing the hose from moving around. EXCEPT, they do nothing to prevent the hose from rotating within the straps. If I move around in the night - and I do - the hose rotates causing the nasal pillow to try and move sideways out of my nose. This often wakes me. If it doesn't wake me, it often pulls the nasal pillow out. I lose the benefit of the CPAP. Worse, the noise wakes my wife, which is a really bad thing."
ADAM Interface w/Denim Headgear & 3 sets of nasal pillows
William P, CHICAGO, IL – September 27, 2008
"I do not care for the Denim Headgear because it is very difficult to use - the cap kept sliding off and I did have it set up correctly. I really liked the design but something needs to be done with it to keep it on - maybe some tie straps like a bonnet or some other material that does not slide."
Badly Misrepresented
Anonymous – March 26, 2008
"This product was advertised as being a solution for users that like to sleep on their sides. I have in the past used Swift, OptiLite and ComfortGel masks all with success but in each case having some problems with moderate leaks for somebody that sleeps on his side and moves from side to side. Since this was advertised as ideal for that type of sleeper, I tried it. It is a disaster. First the two side straps that velcro to the headpiece are completely uncomfortable when sleeping on your side. Second, the entire mask is so rigid that any movement at all causes significant leaks and a movement from side to side is virtually impossible. The other three types of masks that I had previously used are vastly superior to this one."
Much Improvement
Joyce B, Jacksonville, FL – March 01, 2008
"Now I can finally sleep on my sides again in comfort! I initially had the nasal pillows with the head gear that strapped across the face and the tubing connected on the side. It was comfortable lying on one side but not on the other. Now I can turn from side to side without a problem."
Karen B. – February 06, 2008
"This mask is easy to adjust and highly recommended for people who like to sleep on their sides at night. No mask is going to be perfect, or 100% comfortable but this one certainly comes close."

How often should I replace my mask?
Medicare allows for mask cushion replacement every three (3) months and complete mask system replacement every six (6) months. CPAP manufacturers and vendors suggest these replacement schedules as well.
In our experience, most mask cushions begin to deteriorate after about six months of use. The silicone eventually becomes too soft to hold a seal and headgear straps must be tightened more and more to get the same quality seal.
We strongly suggest replacing cushions and pillows as soon as they start to soften. Air leaks may reduce the effectiveness of CPAP therapy and headgear that is too tight may cause facial sores at pressure points. You can also replace the headgear of your mask if it is stretched out or the Velcro worn out.
To see what parts of your mask are replaceable refer to our Replacement Part Finder. Search for your mask and then see all of the replaceable parts.
How do I care for my mask?
Masks should be washed daily in warm water with baby shampoo and left to air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask. Avoid soaps with lotion or lanolin which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember to go to bed with a clean face, this will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask.
The best time to clean your mask is in the morning so that the oils from your skin are removed. We recommend using mask wipes to make daily morning cleanings easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.

Why might I prefer a nasal pillow mask?
Nasal pillow delivery systems offer less contact with the face than either full face or traditional nasal masks. This system works well for those who tend to feel closed in or claustrophobic. Many nasal pillow systems have nothing that cross in front of the bridge of the nose allowing for a clear line of sight for reading or watching TV.
It can be easier to achieve a seal with this system, because there is less for you to adjust and less surface area to create and hold a seal.
Nasal pillow systems may work well for someone with a mustache or beard as the seal occurs only at the nares or nasal opening.
Someone who has a facial mole or scar near or around the nose, may find getting a seal with a traditional nasal mask difficult. Nasal pillows are an option in this circumstance.
Most nasal pillow masks also come with all sizes included to make finding the right size easier.
