"I am planning to take a flight to Europe in September on a US Airways flight that has no AC or DC seat power options. Facing the choice of not sleeping or re-booking on another more expensive flight were not good options.

I found the Lion battery pack on CPAP.com and was skeptical that such a small battery could work. I purchased the Lion Battery Pack for use on my Resmed S8 Elite CPAP machine; I have a pressure setting of 11 CFM.

I took the battery on a recent camping trip. While I had access to AC power, I decided to test the battery out the first night. I estimate that I got about 7.5 hours use without the CPAP alone no humidifier. I was pleasantly surprised given the size and weight. Compared to my old camping option of a deep cycle gel cell 12 volt battery weight about 50 pounds, this provides a nice option and will work fine for my upcoming trip.

I'd say the only downside is the price, which might make it a more difficult choice for some people. I will try and file with my Insurance to see if I can get out of network coverage for durable medical equipment. If you travel internationally or do camping without AC power access, this is definitely a viable option."
