Much more comfortable   January 19, 2008

(5 out of 5) by Paula M.

"I have tried the other two masks that come with the Comfortlite and have found both of them to be annoying to various degrees. I could NOT keep a good seal with any size of the in-the-nose pillow and was constantly waking up to try to realign it. This direct seal cushion works great and I'm able to keep it on much longer and don't wake up now to realign it."

Finally, a mask that fits!   June 30, 2007

(4 out of 5) by Sean P.

"I was a little disappointed when I found out that my insurance would only provide me with the Comfortlite 2. The cushion leaked like crazy and rubbed the bridge of my nose and the pillows will ill fitting, leaked, and rubbed my nose raw.

My last hope was for these direct seal pillows. Thankfully, they fit perfectly! For reference, I have a long, narrow, aquiline shaped nose. Whereas the angle on the pillows was too wide, this fit perfectly snug in my nasal passages.

I took off a star because this three pack is excessive. The size 6 was ridiculously large. If you use the gauge from the respironics site, you can narrow it down to two sizes. Just buy those two and you'll save $20+:

For example, I didn't know if I would need a size 4 or 5 according to the gauge, so I had to try a night with each before I discovered that size 4 is perfect for my big Roman nose. The size 6 that was also included is still sealed in its bag.

So, do some research and narrow it down to two sizes and save yourself a few bucks."

My Nostils hurt   March 22, 2007

(4 out of 5) by Barry D.

"I bought the 3 pack and found the #3 to be best suited to me. I may end up with a #4 in the future.
I am trying to eliminate leaking, so my wife will sleep with me (isnt that the point).
Other mask either leaked when I moved or had to be on so tight, I had marks on my face throughout the next day.
I seem to get about 6 hours of sleep with this product but wake up to a very sore nose. Hopefully this will go away in time. I will take my 6 solid hours, and a wife that is next to me when I wake up any time."

My favorite CL2 interface   August 03, 2006

(5 out of 5) by Lowell F.

"When I recently ordered my Comfortlite 2, I chose the nasal pillow and simple cushion interfaces. I found the nasal pillows worked well, but I thought I would just try the direct seal. Wow! Am I glad I did. They worked for me even better than the nasal pillows. I am a side sleeper, and I have found they hold their seal and are more comfortable than the pillows. I would encourage potential Comfortlite 2 buyers, or those that already have the Comfortlite 2 with the nasal pillows and simple cushions, to give the direct seals serious consideration."
