BIPAP ST Gray Model

"I bought the BIPAP ST machine to have a back up to my Synchrony and to have a machine that is smaller and lighter to make traveling easier. So far I have been impressed with the machine. It is much quieter that my Synchrony plus it has the smart card reporting which allows me to track my apnea results. While it only gives the number of apneas each night, that is more useful than what the Synchrony gave. Because I have central apnea it is important for me to be able to tweak the machine settings and then see the impact they have. I would recommend this machine to anyone."

Happy ST user

"Having an old respironics ST model for 10years, it was time to upgrade. The first thing I noticed was how much quieter the new unit was compared to the older model, and also how much lighter and smaller. At first the electronic menu options I found confusing, perhaps due to my age but once I became accustomed to the menu it has been a breeze. My husband and I took the unit away with us on holidays and a cruise. It operated with different electrical voltages without a problem. I must have an ST model and I am very pleased with this new purchase.By the way I live in Australia and congratulate Cpap for their excellent service and delivery, accordingly I am also a new and happy Cpap customer."

S/T A Necessity for Central Sleep Apnea
November 27, 2007

"I have central sleep apnea and have used three Respironic PAP machines, a CPAP, a BiLevel Auto M series and the BiPAP ST New Gray Model with Smart Card.
After using the ST for threee days my apnea rate increased from 149 to 349. This was beacuse the timed backup was reducing the duration of the event which allowed for more events. This is the first machine which has allowed me to acheive a deep restful sleep. I really liked the egineering in the BiLevel Auto M series as it was compact, easy to travel with, low noise level, very reponsive to patient breathing patterns but it lacks the one feature which I require which is the timed back up rate. The noise level of the BiPAP ST is a little higher but still very acceptable. It is bulkier for traveling so buy a second at auciton for your hunting lodge or beach house. I really enjoy having the software reports as tehy allow me to more activly manage my sleep habits. If you have central sleep apnea, the ST is ESSENTIAL."
