| Wide Face: The value will be marked 'Yes' for CPAP masks with interfaces that are unique to CPAP users with wide facial features. Masks with 'Wide' cushion sizes would fall under this category. Nasal pillow and prong masks are ideal for wide faces because the seal occurs around the nare, not the face. | No |
| Gel Cushion: These masks come with a silicone-based gel cushion. | No |
| Facial Hair: These CPAP masks have interfaces that accommodate a wide variety of facial hair styles. Gel cushions and foam inserts provide support and comfort for users who may need to over-tighten headgear straps to help seal around facial hair. Silicone gel also helps create a fluid seal over the hair. | No |
"I have been using this mask for 16 years, that should be enough of an endorsement. I tried a couple of others a long time ago when this one was out of stock at my local health supplier and they didn't work as well. A couple of years ago I had another local merchant tell me they didn't make it anymore to get me to buy one they had in stock, that is when I went to internet order. Hope the manufacturer never decides to stop production. I am glad I found CPAP.com so I don't have to worry about it being out of stock and the delivery is quick."
"This product is what I have been using for many years, I have not found a mask that I like or use better than this one. I have been using a mask like this for over 15 years so that should attest to how mush I like it."
"This is probably fine if you are in the hospital or someplace like that and need to have cpap treatment. But for home use, not practicle. As always, shipping and and receiving excellent."
"I buy a new mask (actually several) every few months. This time I repurchased one which had promise to actually fit my face.
The hole which is very similar to a "key hole" is horrible. The pointy parts kept me awake continuously. I finally had to cut them into a smooth contour.
Second, taking out the "latex" was a horrible idea. This thing is now almost like a "hard plastic". I really hate it.
You need to give the customer an option as to having a latex or no latex mask. I will not purchase this one again for this reason.
Thank you for the opportunity to give you feedback."
"I have been having a real hard time finding this exact mask. I had my sleep test back on 1/30/1991 and have been using that mask for a very long time and that is the one I like. The new supplier that I have for my insurance refused to order what I wanted and all they have is Resmed and I have not found a mask of theirs that I like. I got very upset with them because they told me to just pick a mask and get use to it. Sorry who is the person wearing this , Me or them. Anyway my son found you on the internet and that is why I ordered from you and will order again. What I got is exactly what I have used in the past. Thank you very very much."
There is no Latex in any Respironics mask or their packaging.

All CPAP masks work with all machines.
Yes. Federal law requires we have a valid prescription on file before we ship your mask, machine and/or humidifier.
We provide many easy ways to get your prescription:
Medicare allows for mask cushion replacement every three (3) months and complete mask system replacement every six (6) months. CPAP manufacturers and vendors suggest these replacement schedules as well.
In our experience, most mask cushions begin to deteriorate after about six months of use. The silicone eventually becomes too soft to hold a seal and headgear straps must be tightened more and more to get the same quality seal.
We strongly suggest replacing cushions and pillows as soon as they start to soften. Air leaks may reduce the effectiveness of CPAP therapy and headgear that is too tight may cause facial sores at pressure points. You can also replace the headgear of your mask if it is stretched out or the Velcro worn out.
To see what parts of your mask are replaceable refer to our Replacement Part Finder. Search for your mask and then see all of the replaceable parts.
Masks should be washed daily in warm water with baby shampoo and left to air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask. Avoid soaps with lotion or lanolin which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember to go to bed with a clean face, this will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask.
The best time to clean your mask is in the morning so that the oils from your skin are removed. We recommend using mask wipes to make daily morning cleanings easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.
The ideal CPAP mask is the one you can't tell is on. Start with minimal masks. If you are strictly a nose breather, the nasal mask is a good choice. The nasal cushion creates a very good seal around your nose and has a small profile. Nasal masks are also offered in gel, which many find comfortable.
Most nasal masks have a forehead support which offers stability and support for the mask.
