"I am "quasi" pleased. The card reader did what it said it would do, read the proprietary card. You might note that the CD drivers card that comes with the unit conflicts with the Encore viewer program. You get error messages. The Encore Viewer program has drivers that will read the card.This is not uncommon in "Computer Land". I found this out after reading various forums and blogs.

I am not a true computer geek by any means, but there are several items on the consumer market that could easily take the place of the reader, i.e USB plug in drives that fit in your pocket and can be directly plugged in to your computer and load the data to output reports on the Encore Viewer for a fraction of the cost. The output USB plug in the APAP/CPAP machine could be designed into the machine. I can understand why the manufacturer would be reluctant to do this due to the cost of redesign of equipment and the possible loss on hold on the propriety nature of the present set up. It would be better for the consumer."

"came with a cd with a program on it but could not install as I did not have that version of the program it was looking for. I installed Encore Viewer version 1 and was able to use the reader ok with that."
