Critical to optimizing my CPAP setup

"A smart card reader was absolutely the best purchase I've made, after the CPAP equipment itself. Since none of us know exactly what we do in our sleep unless someone sees it, the ability to download data was critical for me while I tweaked and confirmed I had once and for all taken care of system leaks that were compromising my therapy. If all is going well, a card reader might be a luxury. For me, it's made all the difference. Note: software is purchased separately and must be installed along with card drivers before trying to use the Encore Reader with a computer."

"The Smart Card reader was really easy to connect to my computer. The setup process thats on the smart card reader disc (which you also need to buy) made it very easy to do the instalation.
It's a good product, a must have, if you want to monitor your progress on your cpap or bipap machine."

Encore Smart Card Reader

"I had no problem installing the Encore Viewer v1.0 Software on my Windows XP computer. The installation went fast, and once installed, I used the Encore Smart Card Reader to display my apnea activity profile from November, 2008 to the current date.
My BiPAP supplier had previously printed out an activity profile of my apneas once, and it was a bit more detailed than what I get using the Encore Viewer Software and Smart Card Reader I now have. But, the convenience of being able to view and print out a profile of my apnea activity is excellent, and I plan to check my activity on an every other weekly basis."

"This reader isn't acknowledged on my 64 bit laptop, but is readable on my Vista desktop. There was no disk labeled as a driver so I looked on the Encore Viewer software (I ordered reader and software as a package) and the driver was on that disk.
I had no problem on my 32 bit computer, just don't buy this if you only have a 64 bit computer."
