Comfortable but Loud and Leaky

"I bought this based on another reviewer's comments who described have a similar type of face as mine - large straight nose, narrow nose bridge, recessed chin, high eye-teeth roots. However the reviewer bought the silicone version whereas I bought the gel.
This mask has a comfortable fit - it feels better on my face than many others. However, once I turn the machine on all benefits cease.
It's very loud with very unintelligently designed vents that blow air straight out in one direction - the loudest mask I've ever tried.
It also leaks badly for me. I am an 'active' sleeper and a side sleeper, and I thrash around a lot before I fall asleep, and all it took was rolling my head to the side a little and I had a leak.
Normally you can take care of this by tightening straps, which I did, but the problem is that the gel, though comfortable, is stiff so when you tighten you are pressing stiff silicone into your face which negates the comfort you felt at first and still doesn't seal well because its not very flexible. Plus you get marks on your face.
If you sleep with your face straight up all night and don't move, and don't mind a noisy mask, you might do fine with this and find it very comfortable. But if you are 'active' or a side sleeper, don't waste your time or money."

"This mask is good value. Very comfortable when it is on, perhaps the most comfortable one I have used of a half dozen or so over the years. The one thing I'm still getting used to is the lower strap, which you buckle and then pull over a lip to hold it in place. It's just a little more awkward than a standard set-up, but a minor inconvenience."

Wooooosh!

"Although comfortable, this is the loudest mask I have ever used. The exhaust port seems intent on making as much air noise as possible. I do like the adjustability of the direction of the exhaust however. The gel insert is comfortable and seems to fit well - no leaks. The headgear was a little small for my face - I had the lower portion as loose as possible and was still getting some marks on my cheeks after use.
If the manufacturer can figure out a way to reduce the noise, this would be a great mask. As is, I am glad I purchased the return insurance."
