Onyix Eye Shield

"I purchased this mainly to keep out light ,which it does ,they sell to block out air leaks ,it does that also ,it fits under my nasal mask (PR Easylife),and it's light weight and comfortable.I am very pleased with the Onyix eye shields !"

"I've used this shield for about a week now and absolutely love it! It keeps all air flow from my VPAP mask out of my eyes and is very comfortable. I've tried regular eye masks to block out the light and they always flattened out my eyelashes! The eye cups of this shield don't lay flat against my eyes - nice. "I haven't had the issue of the CPAP air flow getting into my eyes, but I do have the issue of needing to block out the light. I work night shift and need to get my sleep during much of the daylight hours. Even though I have dark curtains and blinds on my windows, some light still manages to get into the room. I have tried traditional eye shades and while they have been helpfull, they aren't very comfortable, especially when I had to modify them to fit around my nasal mask. When I saw the Onyix Eye Shield here on CPAP.com, I just had to try them. They work fabulously. Although, being made from rubber, they are a little cold when I first put them on, and I find that they tend to collect a residue of moisture on the inside of the eye caps from my own body heat. The head strap is supposed to be a one size fits all, but I must have a larger than average head or something, because at it's largest setting, it could stand to be adjusted slightly larger. It is made from a stretchable, silk-like fabric and is comfortable enough, but otherwise, I really like this eye shield and give them four stars."

"I have used cpap for 3 1/2 years and my biggest issue was air blowback and air leaking around the bridge of my nose. I woke several times a night when I would move and the air leaking would wake me up. I have used the eye shield for a week and have slept soundly every night. Either the leakage is better with the eye shield or more likely, I don't notice it. The complete darkness is also conducive to deep sleep. They are light weight, easily adjustable and fit easily with the mask.
