FlexiFoam Cushion Contours to You for Improved Cushion Seal

New from Fisher & Paykel, the Forma Full Face Mask includes the innovative new FlexiFoam cushion that creates a highly contoured silicone seal. The soft, supportive inner FlexiFoam cushion and outer silicone seal work together to offer maximum comfort and extra stability, promoting optimal frame alignment and more successful CPAP therapy. While most full-face CPAP masks seal under the wearer's bottom lip, F&P's Forma mask features a unique under chin design for greater comfort and a superior seal.

Enjoy a Hassle-Free Fit and the Ability to Move Around

The automatic adjustments and freedom to move help new CPAP wearers adapt to their sleep apnea therapy. The Forma Full Face Mask offers a T-piece forehead support that automatically adjusts and provides added stability. The Forma Full Face Mask features a Glider Strap that minimizes leaks while letting you change sleeping positions as you please. The Glider Strap evenly distributes pressure points, which minimizes skin irritation.

Open Line of Sight to Watch T.V. or Read Before Bed

The full-face cushion on the Forma CPAP Mask rests under your chin and on your forehead with anchored support from the crown strap, allowing you to read or watch T.V. before bed.

Sleep Soundly With the Advanced Air Diffuser

The advanced air diffuser helps route exhaled air out and away from you and your sleeping partner, minimizing therapy noise in the process.

Easy-Release Cord for Easy On and Off

The Forma Full Face Mask’s easy release cord makes removing your mask a breeze. This feature ensures that you won’t have to readjust your fit every time you take your mask on and off.

Get Your Best Fit With a Variety of Cushion Sizes

The frame of the Forma Full Face Mask is designed to fit all cushion sizes. If you’re unsure of your perfect fit, your order includes a small, medium, large, and extra-large cushion. Like all Fisher & Paykel masks, the headgear is latex-free.

How to Clean Your Forma Full Face CPAP Mask

You’ll need to follow these steps to clean your Forma Full Face CPAP Mask:

  1. Remove the mask cushion from the frame and disconnect the headgear.
  2. Create a mixture of mild soap and lukewarm water, and gently scrub the inside of the cushion. You may need to use a soft bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to clean some of the harder-to-reach areas.
  3. Rinse with lukewarm drinking water, and make sure to wash away all soap suds and residue that may be left behind.
  4. Set all components aside to air dry, but don’t place them in direct sunlight.

Where do I find the size?

The mask frame does not have an identifiable size because it is designed to fit each of the Forma Full Face cushions.

To find the size of the silicone seal, turn the mask to view the flat bottom of the full face mask. The user will find the size centered directly in the middle of the seal. Embossed letters spell "S M A L L," "M E D I U M," "L A R G E," or "X - L A R G E.”

To find the size of the cushion, remove the cushion from the silicone seal. Hold the cushion with the soft edges facing away from the user. At the tip of the cushion, where the bridge of the nose meets the material, locate a small, embossed letter. This letter represents the size of the cushion. The mask frame does not need a corresponding letter as it offers a universal fit, but the silicone seal and inner foam cushion will need to be the same size to work as intended.

Which CPAP masks work on which machines?

Any mask will work with any machine, with one important exception. The ResMed AirMini is only compatible with certain ResMed CPAP masks. Compatible masks for the AirMini are as follows:

  • ResMed AirFit™ N20 Nasal Mask
  • ResMed AirFit™ F20 Full Face
  • ResMed AirTouch™ F20 Full Face
  • ResMed AirFit™ P10 Nasal Pillow

When considering another CPAP, APAP or BiPAP machine from ResMed or any other manufacturer, mask compatibility extends to all brands. The AirMini uses non-standard tubing to connect the machine to the mask, and is the primary reason why other masks won't work with the AirMini. Despite this issue, many of our customers consider the AirMini to be an excellent machine.

Do you have a guide to help me choose the right mask?
Yes, we created a Help Me Choose guide to help you select the right mask or machine according to your preferences. The guide asks you a series of questions regarding your preferences and your facial features. Based on your answers we provide you with a comparison chart of the masks that meet your criteria. Get started here:

Help Me Choose - Mask
How often should I replace my mask?
Medicare allows for mask cushion replacement every three (3) months, and a complete mask system replacement every six (6) months. CPAP manufacturers and vendors suggest these replacement schedules as well.

In our experience, most mask cushions begin to deteriorate after about six months of use. The cushion eventually becomes too soft to hold a seal. The headgear straps lose elasticity and must be tightened more and more to get the same quality seal.

We strongly suggest replacing cushions and pillows as soon as they start to soften. Air leaks may reduce the effectiveness of CPAP therapy and headgear that is too tight may cause facial sores at pressure points. In most cases, replacement headgear is available if it is stretched out or the Velcro worn out.

To see what parts of your mask are replaceable refer to our Replacement Part Finder. Just search for your mask to see all of the replaceable parts.
What does a mask prescription need to say?
A mask prescription must contain all of the following information:
  • One of the following words or phrases: "CPAP Mask", "CPAP Supplies", "CPAP Humidifier", "CPAP", "Continuous Positive Airway Pressure", "APAP", "AutoPAP", "AutoSet", "Auto CPAP", "Auto Adjusting CPAP", "Self Adjusting CPAP", "BiPAP", "BiLevel", "VPAP", "BiPAP Auto", "BiPAP ST", "Synchrony ST", "VPAP ST"
  • Your physician's contact information
  • Your physician's signature
  • The patient's full name

Yes. Federal law requires we have a valid prescription on file before we ship your mask, machine, humidifier, or EPAP therapy, including Provent and Bongo RX. You will also need a prescription to purchase the Nightbalance POSA device.

For more information on prescriptions, please see our Prescription Section of the Learning Center.

Why might I need a full face mask?
If your mouth drops open during sleep, a full face may be selected to allow for the CPAP airflow to be delivered through both the nose and mouth.

Some CPAP users move to using a full face mask after finding that using a nasal mask along with a chinstrap does not meet their sleep therapy needs. Some CPAP users use a full face mask when suffering from seasonal allergies.
What are the CPAP, BiPAP, Sleep Apnea, and Oxygen related HCPCS, CPT or billing codes?

E1399 is Miscellaneous and is used for other CPAP and Oxygen items.
How do I care for my mask?

Masks should be washed daily with warm water and gentle soap or baby shampoo. Let the mask air dry. Never use antibacterial soap as it will break down the silicone of the mask cushion. Avoid soaps that include lotion which can coat the mask and cause it to lose its seal. A safe cleaner is the Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution. Remember, going to bed with a clean face will improve your seal and protect the lifespan of your mask. Citrus Mask Wipes

The best time to clean your mask is in the morning after use. This removes the oils left behind from your skin which can reduce the lifespan of your mask. We recommend using Mask Wipes to make daily morning cleaning easy. The mask wipes are made from materials that will not break down your mask.

Citrus Mask Wipes

For customers who want to completely disinfect their mask and accessories, there's an even better option than wipes. The Lumin Mask and Accessories Cleaner uses powerful UV light to disinfect, killing almost all bacteria almost instantly. It's not a cleaner and doesn't scrub or wash anything, but for simple disinfecting the Lumin works great!

DO NOT BUY

Verified purchase | Apr. 26, 2023 | Miranda H.
Worse mask I have tried. The cushion doesn’t attach to the mask it just sits in it so it doesn’t create a seal…. Also after a while you can hear a whistling noise…… WORST MASK EVER…

Not good for me

Verified purchase | Mar. 21, 2023 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I have tried 10-12 different masks and this was the worst for me. Every other mask I have had was very easy to fasten/unfastened for removal and this one is a pain. It also did not fit properly from day 1 despite having 2 sizes included. The seal was bad from day 1 as well. Even after adjustments it was putting alot of pressure on the bridge of my nose and forehead.

Extra Large- I don't think so

Verified purchase | Nov. 25, 2022 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
In my quest to find the perfect cpap mask I have yet again, hit a wall. Recently my respiratory therapist said my "large" masks don't fit well due to my elongated and larger than most, face size. This mask was no exception. It is NOT XL. The only size difference is it actually goes under the chin. While fitting under the chin you will find extreme pressure on the bridge of the nose because this XL mask doesn't go to the top of the nose for a "no leak" fit. The catch 22 of all this is there's no way to test a mask with out actually using it. You open it, you OWN it. Your sales agent took a lot of time searching for a solution for me and this is NOT it. Any suggestions as I continue to way over tighten my Air Fit and/or Air Touch masks just to get 3-4 hours of no leaks.

Poor strap design

Verified purchase | Jan. 09, 2021 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
Been using this mask for many years and it took that long for me to accept the fact that the strap design doesn't work for the "hold the mouth closed" feature of the mask. There is no vertical support for the mask so when my jaw drops during sleep it pulls down on the mask and places a lot of pressure on my nose. Each morning I have a painful red mark on my nose bridge. I will be trying other masks in combination with a chinstrap to see what works best.
