"It's about time! I have been using a CPAP for over 10 years. The humidifier that I have used has been a pain to clean. I have had seal numerous holes in the bottoms over the years due to corrosion and have replace some due to breaking during travel. This one is made strong and convenient for cleaning. The stainless steel bottom should resist corrosion for a long time."

"finally! we feel that we've finally found a well-made, affordable passive humidification solution... that can be taken apart for cleaning! I don't know how people deal with non-opening humidifiers. I think it's essential to be able to open your humidifier -- and I think opening it up and scrubbing gently is also the fastest cleaning method. This fits the bill. Very well-made. If you're using it "free standing" you may want to create a heavy, solid base for it and use industrial-strength velcro to attach it. That can keep it from tipping over in the night."

"Finally, a chamber that can be cleaned! Water rings, mineral buildup, strange things that grow when I have a cold, now are all easily cleaned up. And the stainless steel base should last much better than the easily-corroded standard base. Thanks to the order person who recommended this chamber. This is pricey (or I'd say 5 stars), but good for the long haul."
