"This was the first nasal mask I got after diagnosis a few years ago. I've tried several others, and though I've had some success with nasal pillows, this remains the best conventional mask I've used. The parts are a drag to clean, but it's a small price to pay. Just bought another one."

FlexiFit HC407

"I ordered this to see if it was an improvement over the HC405. I believe the seal is better on the HC407 but as with the HC405, this mask causes redness and soreness on the bridge of my nose. Too bad Respironics does not make the masks with an adjustment to move the mask in or out from where it makes contact with the nose so the user can adjust the mask to reduce the pressure on the bridge of the nose. One other problem with the HC407 that is not present in the HC405 - the 360 degree swivels for the hose and mask connections are too tight so the swivels do not move unless held in hand and forced to move.
The three best points are good seal, good straps and low noise. If my nose can't cope with continued use, I expect I will return it."

"This mask is small enough not to be on the way when resting my head on the pillow on the side. It is big enough not to be constrictive or butting againt my nose.
It holds a tight seal with very little head gear tightening.
This is my 3rd mask of this model and am very happy with it. Comfort and effectiveness are my key concerns and this mask provides both."

Keep Trying

"I've "flipped" back and forth between the FlexiFitHC407 and a mask made by another manufacturer. There is a significant improvement between using a mask and not using a mask (so my wife says) but none of them are comfortable.
With this latest FlexiFitHC407, I wake up with marks on my forhead in the morning and I'm told that I am still snoring. If the load can be better distributed between the two upper cushioning pieces and the nose cushion, the mask may be more comfortable."
