"The mask leaked a lot no matter what I did to stop it. The idea is good but it just doesn't work. I couldn't seem to keep it in place."

OptiLife CPAP Mask Cradle is worth a try

"I just purchased the Optilife CPAP mask cradle cushion and it was an great purchase. The cradle cushion is very comfortable, flexible and soft. I liked the fact that it fits under your nose and not inside the nostrils. The only problem that I have encounter with the cradle cushion is that I purchased the smallest one I could find which was "small" and I could use one a little smaller. Overall, I give the cradle cushions a "2 thumbs up.""

"its about time, the designers finally woke up and decided to get to work, a long way to say that the cradle cushion works, as it dosen't stick in the nose. can finally sleep. need a way to do oral breathing when getting a cold."

OptiLife Cradle Cushion

"I was looking forward to getting this option for the OptiLife mask, since I really like the Comfort Curve. I would then have a alternative to the Comfort Curve cheek pads in hot weather and still have a mask I really liked. However, the design is quite different than the nose cradle on the Comfort Curve. It worked well for the first few times but now I cannot stop the leaks! I wish the design of this Cradle had been fashioned after the one on the Comfort Curve! That may have made it more effective for me."

Improvement but sizing not right
May 13, 2008

"I received my OptiLife cradle cushion the other day and have used it for about 3 nights. I can say that my leaks have minimized and after a few more nights I think I'll be adjusted to this 'upgrade'. Only problems I experienced is that the sizing seems larger than it should be and my nose is a bit sore right on the tip from me trying to adjust this the cushion. The edge of the cutout seems to need some "polshing or smoothing".
My feelings are that if you're using a large size in the standard OptiLife nasal pillows you should opt for a medium in the cradle cushion model. I haven't validated this yet. When I come up with a spare $29 I'll confirm this.
Overall this is a very comfortable change almost too comfortable and initially I was worried about leaks. As I mentioned above I have less leaks with this than the standard nasal equipment that ships with the Respironics M-Series machine."
