Works but flawed in several ways.

"I have been using this unit for 2 weeks while traveling. it has some good points and several bad ones.
GOOD POINTS:
1. It is compact.
2. It holds enough water.
3. It does reduce the blower noise somewhat.
BAD POIINTS:
1. It does not seem to get warm enough. (Even at the highest setting.)
2. The unit seems to have a mechanical thermostat that is both loud and inaccurate. The unit makes a loud "click", "Clack" sound as the thermostat cycles on and off. (Very annoying) A solid state thermostat is far more accurate and silent in operation.
3. The water tank is hard to get in and out to fill it. It's not easy.
4. The unit will not heat up unless the tank is pushed all the way in. The tank position sensor switch is not easy to align. Sometimes you have to push the tank in and out several times to activate the switch.
Overall... This unit is not a great design. I would probably not ever buy another ProBasics unit again. The price is right... But you get what you pay for."

"Has very large holding tank for water (larger than my Remstar) but easy to adjust temperature level. Same size filling spout as my large home unit that needs a small funnel or real careful to avoid spilling. Turning on humidifier does not start your CPAP machine but turning it off does. I would prefer the on/off control near the front"

"Works fine, may not travel with me I hope, but it's great at home. We'll see if no humidifier works on the road?? May just have to make room for it in the suitcase.
Again great service from cpap.com.
I recommend them highly."
