    Lithium-ion Battery

The RPS II is a long lasting, lithium-ion battery that meets transportation regulations as set by the International Air Transportation Association (IATA). Use the standard External Power 90 Watt Supply for ResMed S9 Series CPAP and BiPAP Machines that comes with the S9 machine to charge the battery. The battery charges quickly reaching 95% of the charge in less than four hours when starting at 0% charge. The battery can be charged from input voltages between 100V and 240V.

The RPS II's battery charge display indicates the charge level and offers both visual display and audio alert, which may be muted, to notify when the charge is low. Use the voltage output selector on the back panel of the RPS II to change from 24v to 26 v power. Note: All S9 CPAP and VPAP devices require 24v.

Double the Batteries - Double the Run Time

A unique feature of the RPS II is the Battery Coupler for ResMed Power Station (RSP) II which connects two ResMed Power Station II Batteries in series. The Battery Coupler automatically switches from one battery to the other when needed. The Battery Coupler Kit for ResMed Power Station (RSP) II includes both the Battery Coupler and a Velcro Strap for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II to secure the batteries to one another. Additional RPS II Batteries may be purchased separately.

    Travel Bag

The RPS II Travel Bag offers several great features of its own. It is designed to be used with either one or two RPS II batteries. Use the access panel to connect the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II or Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II to the RPS II. The front, zippered pouch has ample room to store cables.

Compatible ResMed S9 Machines with this Battery Kit

    Non-Compatible Machines

The ResMed Power Station RPS II will not work the following machines:

    • S8 VPAP™ Auto
    • All S8 Series CPAP machines
    • All non-S9 ResMed machines, unless listed as compatible above
    • All non-ResMed CPAP or BiLevel machines
    • All CPAP or BiLevel machines not listed as Compatible above

    Battery Run Time

Battery run time varies greatly based on the machine used, the pressure setting and whether or not a humidifier or heated tube are used. A ResMed S9 CPAP machine set at a pressure of 10 cmwp without a heated humidifier has an estimated run time of 13 hours. Using a heated humidifier or heated tubing greatly reduce the run time of the battery. Please reference the ResMed Battery/Device Compatibility List for more information on Battery Run Time.

Please note: The RPS II has a voltage output selector on the back panel of the unit which can be used to change from 24v to 26 v power. All S9 CPAP and VPAP devices require 24v with and without the use of a humidifier.

To Power an S9 Machine on the ResMed Power Station:
    1. Select "24v" output on the back panel of the ResMed Power Station
    2. Connect the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station to the ResMed Power Station
    3. Remove the cap from the other end of the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station
    4. Connect the uncapped end of the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station to the S9 machine in the port where the power cord is normally connected to the machine
    5. Turn on the ResMed Power Station
    6. Turn the S9 Machine on as normal

The included Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter is NOT used to operate the RPS II. During use, the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II connects directly between the RPS II and the S9 machine.

The S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II is for use ONLY with the ResMed Power Station II and is not compatible with other DC sources.

To Charge the ResMed Power Station:
    1. Connect the Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II to the ResMed Power Station
    2. Connect the External Power 90 Watt Supply for ResMed S9 Series CPAP and BiPAP Machines that comes standard with the S9 machines to the PSU Adapter
    3. Plug the S9 Power Supply into an AC wall outlet
    4. The "charging" light will show until the battery is fully charged
    5. If unused, the battery MUST be recharged every three (3) months

The ResMed Power Station II Battery Kit for S9™ Machines can be charge ONLY through a wall outlet. A DC charging option is not available. Per the manufacturer, the Power Station cannot be charged using an inverter or a pure sine wave inverter.

The included Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II is required to charge the RPS II. The PSU connects the RPS II to the S9 External Power supply.

The S9 Power Supply Unit that comes standard with all S9 Series machines are used to charge the ResMed Power Station II. The S9 power supply is not included with the battery.

Recharging Requirement: When storing the ResMed Power Station, if it is unused for a period of THREE (3) months the battery MUST be recharged to maintain the functionality of the battery. Per the manufacturer, if the battery is not recharged it will eventually discharge completely and no longer be able to be recharged and there will not a way in which to recover the functionality of the battery.

The manufacturer warranty for the ResMed Power Station II is 6 months.
