Note: In order to use this battery with an AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 machine, the AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II is required. To charge the battery, the Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 Machines for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II must be purchased to utilize the power supply of these particular AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 machines.

Make Note of Incompatibility With Some CPAP and BiLevel Machines

There are some machines that the ResMed Power Station RPS II will not work with, including:

• All non-ResMed CPAP or BiLevel machines
• All CPAP or BiLevel machines not listed above
• S8 VPAP™ Auto
• All S8 Series CPAP machines
• All non-S9 ResMed machines, unless compatibility is listed above

Backup Power for Up to 13 Hours of Run Time

The battery run time varies depending on a variety of factors. Factors that can impact run time include the machine type, pressure setting, and if a humidifier or heated tube is used. For example, a ResMed S9 CPAP machine without a heated humidifier set at a pressure of 10 cmwp has an estimated battery run time of 13 hours. Using a heated humidifier or heated tubing lowers the battery run time significantly.

Twice the Batteries Gives You Double the Run Time

Unique to the RPS II, this device features the Battery Coupler for ResMed Power Station (RSP) II, which connects two ResMed Power Station II Batteries in series. The Battery Coupler automatically switches between batteries as needed. Having external battery power in the event of an unexpected mains power failure can be the difference between a restful night of sleep with your CPAP device and a restless night filled with sleep apnea events, so make sure to keep your RPS II Battery charged when not in use.

Approved for Transportation via Airline

This product meets transportation regulations from the International Air Transportation Association (IATA), meaning you can take your battery kit and charging adapter along with you during your next business meeting or vacation getaway. 

The equivalent lithium content of a single RPS II lithium-ion battery meets requirements for safe travel as set by the IATA.

PSU Location

The PSU adapter is found in a narrow mesh section between the bag shoulder strap and manual in the top flap of the carry bag. The PSU will need to be slid out to be used.

Please note: The RPS II has a voltage output selector on the back panel of the unit which can be used to change from 24v to 26v power. All S9 and AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 devices require 24v with and without the use of a humidifier.

The included Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II is NOT used to operate the RPS II. During use, the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II connects directly between the RPS II and the S9 machine.

To Power an S9 or AirSense™/AirCurve™ 10 Machine on the ResMed Power Station:

• Select "24v" output on the back panel of the ResMed Power Station
• Connect the S9 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II or AirSense™/AirCurve™ 10 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II to the ResMed Power Station
• Remove the cap from the other end of the S9 or the AirSense™/AirCurve™ 10 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station
• Connect the uncapped end of the S9 or the AirSense™/AirCurve™ 10 Series DC Cable for ResMed Power Station to the S9 or AirSense™/AirCurve™ 10 machine in the port, where the power cord is normally connected to the machine
• Turn on the ResMed Power Station
• Turn the S9 or AirSense™/AirCurve™ 10 machine on as normal

To Charge the ResMed Power Station:

• Connect the Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II to the ResMed Power Station
• Connect the External Power 90 Watt Supply for ResMed S9 Series Machines or the External Power 90 Watt Supply for ResMed AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 Series Machines to the PSU Adapter
• Plug the S9 or the AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 Power Supply into an AC wall outlet
• The "charging" light will show until the battery is fully charged
• If unused, the battery MUST be recharged every three (3) months

Depending on the machine being used, the Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for S9 Machines for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II or the Power Supply Unit (PSU) Adapter for AirSense™ 10 and AirCurve™ 10 Machines for ResMed Power Station (RPS) II are required to charge the RPS II. The PSU connects the RPS II to both the S9 External Power Supply and the AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 Power Supply. The PSU for AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 machines is not included with this battery.

The S9 Power Supply Unit and the AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 Power Supply Unit that come standard with all S9 or AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 machines are used to charge the ResMed Power Station II. The S9 power supply and the AirSense™ 10/AirCurve™ 10 power supply are not included with the battery.

The manufacturer warranty for the ResMed Power Station II is 6 months.

Recharging Requirement: When storing the ResMed Power Station, if it is unused for a period of THREE (3) months the battery MUST be recharged to maintain the functionality of the battery. Per the manufacturer, if the battery is not recharged it will eventually discharge completely and no longer be able to be recharged and there will not a way in which to recover the functionality of the battery.

Packaging Date Stamp Explanation

The dates recorded on battery packaging are internal dates used by the manufacturer indicating when they were checked/charged before shipment, they are not expiration dates of the battery's lifecycle.
