Frequency of Replacement

"I have been a cpap user for about 18 months. Early in my experience I settled on the Swift Mirage as the mask that I found most comfortable and that I had the most success with. I use my cpap every night, all night.
That being said, in those eighteen months I am already on my third "short tube assembly" and could easily be on my sixth if I did not put up with them when they initially fail and try to repair them myself with tape (never very successfully). My complaint is with the cost of the short tube assembly. It is my experienced opinion that: a) the short tube assembly over priced to begin with and b) VERY over priced for the value to failure rate ratio.
If I can find another mask that I am comfortable with I will switch."

New short tube too stiff
April 29, 2008
(2 out of 5) by Doug P, FL
"The Mirage Swift is the only head gear I have ever had in my 3 years of using a CPAP. I recently bought some more replacement parts and the new short tube is very stiff. I don't like it at all. It keeps pulling the nose pillow out and waking me up. I still my old short tue but it will not hold the end pieces in any longer."

Replacement parts
April 23, 2008
(5 out of 5) by Robert B, Dana Point, CA
"I'm very satisfied with both the initial products cpap.com provided and the replacement parts I just purchased. I've had my equipment for 3 years, needed to replace a few pieces of my mask and air supply tubes, damaged by one of my curious cats. He liked the sponge rubber used to make the mask pillow cylinder, left it full of holes! It was time to have some spares. Thanks for the great products and service."

"Swivel and elbow pieces are hard to remove when this unit is new making it difficult to clean really well. Be cautious when pulling them loose or you will stretch and damage the hose itself."

"I got a Mirage Swift about 4 weeks ago and the short tube seems to be failing early. The last flex ring before the connection to the 6 foot hose seems to have visible weakened. I can sense it would only be a matter of time before it cracked opened like bending plastic back and forth.
I am waiting to see how this replacement behaves."
