The Swift™ FX Bella Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Headgears comes packaged with two unique headgear options and is available in two colors. ResMed responded to patient needs by offering a headgear option that loops around the ears rather than crossing the back of the head. The Bella comes packaged with three sizes of nasal pillows. The Pink headgear includes the Extra Small, Small and Medium nasal pillow while the Gray headgear comes packaged with the Small, Medium and Large nasal pillows.

Bella Loops - Around the Ear
Finally, a headgear option that does not cross over the back of the head disturbing rest and hair. The very lightweight silicone Bella loops go around the ears to secure the mask in place. Each 'around the ear' loop comes with a set of soft sleeves to cushion contact with the cheeks and face.
Swift FX Bella Headgear - Around the Head
The 'around the head' headgear for the Swift FX Bella is an update to the headgear that was introduced with the Swift FX. It is an incredibly lightweight, soft, silicone-based headgear that rests lightly on the cheeks offering a sense of freedom. It is made of silicone similar to the material used in mask cushions and pillows. A set of Soft Wraps to cushion the headgear against the face is included with the Bella. The updated headgear is compatible with the original Swift FX.
Soft Sleeves and Soft Wraps
ResMed recognizes the importance of comfort and includes a set of wraps for each of the Bella headgear options. The soft fleece material cushions contact with the face and cheeks and helps to prevent the silicone headgears from slipping.
Quiet Operation
The air disperses gently outward and away through exhalation ports located on the frame not on the cushion, dampening audible motor whine and airflow noise. Sound levels have been reduced to only 25 decibels at the mask.
Nasal Pillow DesignThe Swift FX nasal pillows are designed with improved support and comfort using dual-wall flaps. Side sleepers will appreciate the cushion's base that is outfitted with an integrated flexible chamber that provides stability. The flexibility accommodates movement and offers a reliable seal.
Fitting is Easy
The Bella Pink comes with Extra Small, Small, and Medium size pillows included in the package. The Bella Gray includes the Small, Medium and Large pillows. Other pillow sizes Swift FX Nasal Pillows are sold separately. All pillow sizes are interchangeable with the mask frame.
The Bella 'around the head' headgear has only 2 points to adjust: A low-profile backstrap and buckle on top. The backstrap is a Lycra-based material with Velcro fasteners. The top buckle is incorporated into the headgear and uses a set of notches for easy adjustment with additional buckle notches that allow users to tighten around smaller heads. The adjustable backstrap can be worn under a pony tail, accommodating a wide range of hair styles.
Lightweight & Travel Friendly
The Swift FX Bella mask's frame is practically invisible and allows for reading or watching TV at bedtime, even with glasses on. The pillow cushion connects smoothly with the rest of the mask and is easy to assemble. The 'lock and key' quick-release tabs secure both styles of silicone headgear straps and allow for easy removal from the frame.

If the answer to these questions is 'yes' then the Bella Loops may be suited to you. The Swift FX Bella does come packaged with two headgear styles, the Bella Loops and the Swift FX for Her Headgear Assembly, giving you options.
Swift FX for Her Headgear
The Swift FX for Her Bella headgear is a soft pink color with a light gray lining. The Soft Wraps are the soft pink color. The Bella 'around the ear' loops are included with the purchase of the Swift FX Bella.
The original Swift FX for Her headgear is a bright pink color as are the Soft Wraps.
ResMed part number 61543 Silicone Headgear Assembly for Swift™ FX for Her currently comes packaged with the bright pink headgear strap and Soft Wraps as well as the soft blue headgear strap and light gray Soft Wraps.

"This is a new product, and I saw it on the website and decided to try it. I like to concept of the ear straps and used it for several nights. I found I was having leaks around the nasal pillows, especially since I sleep on my side. I also had some soreness on my ears where the straps pulled, even though I loosened them. It is very small and light, and I love that but fought during the night to keep a good seal. I went to the included head straps, and like it much better. They also are smaller and lighter than my normal mask. I will try the ear straps again and may be able to get used to them. I especially like that they do not go over my hair and ruin my style by morning."

"This is my wife's first experiment with CPAP and using the typical mask was out of the question, clausterphobic etc.. I ordered this FX Bella because of the ear hooks and she finds it tolerable for the past two months to use them.. She never would use the standard face masks so this is a major improvement.. We have not used regularly the extra strap that goes behind the head, but it also was more light to wear.. Good product"

What masks are recommended for people with small faces?
Nasal pillow and nasal prong masks seal only at the nostrils or nares. Therefore, only the size of the nostrils has to be considered when selecting a delivery system. Also, most nasal pillows masks come with all sizes included to offer options for the user. Some nasal and full face masks are offered in smaller sizes.

I sleep on my side or stomach, what are my options?
Sleeping on your side or stomach is preferable to sleeping on your back because sleeping on your back worsens all forms of sleep-disordered breathing. However, sleeping on your side or stomach can present problems to CPAP therapy. Both positions can put pressure on one side of your mask increasing your leak rate. Your options are to (1) try a mask that other side sleepers like (2) try bed pillows made for CPAP users.
- Masks: We have found some masks allow for movement in sleeping position better than others. See our recommended masks for Active or Side/Stomach Sleepers.
- Special CPAP Pillows: Regular bed pillows can put pressure against the mask and cause leaks. CPAP pillows are made with CPAP users in mind. These special pillows are designed to minimize the contact of the CPAP mask with the pillow, even when you are sleeping on your side.

Why might I prefer a nasal pillow mask?
Nasal pillow delivery systems offer less contact with the face than either full face or traditional nasal masks. This system works well for those who tend to feel closed in or claustrophobic. Many nasal pillow systems have nothing that cross in front of the bridge of the nose allowing for a clear line of sight for reading or watching TV.
It can be easier to achieve a seal with this system, because there is less for you to adjust and less surface area to create and hold a seal.
Nasal pillow systems may work well for someone with a mustache or beard as the seal occurs only at the nares or nasal opening.
Someone who has a facial mole or scar near or around the nose, may find getting a seal with a traditional nasal mask difficult. Nasal pillows are an option in this circumstance.
Most nasal pillow masks also come with all sizes included to make finding the right size easier.
