Key Product Information

    Manufacturer: Respironics

Basic chinstrap. Encircles the head and attaches to itself on the top of the head. Can be used with any mask, nasal pillow or nasal prong system. Use a chinstrap if your mouth is drying out. This is usually a strong sign that your jaw is dropping, allowing the air from the CPAP to flow through the sinus and out the mouth.

(1 out of 5) by Annoymous User

"Not working for me. Chin cup too big. Straps slide around on my head."

OK   April 30, 2008

(4 out of 5) by Paul M, Carlisle, PA

"The chinstrap does what is expected. I can still open my mouth without too much effort if I want to, but at least my mouth doesn't dry out at night. I thought that opening my mouth was causing my mask to change position, and while this problem has lessened, it has not been eliminated.

This comes with 4 1" velcro-like squares that have the hard spines on both sides. This secures the strap on the top of your head. Additional squares keep the strap in the same place relative to the mask straps, but don't let them get out of place and rest on your skin. The length of the strap just barely makes it around my moderately large head. If it were several inches longer it could be cut to size for smaller people."

(5 out of 5) by George A M, Alamo, TX

"Tube works fine. Chinstrap, I guess I'm stuck with. It doesn't work to keep my mouth closed. So, I guess which has been the case the cpap helps me partially. Thanks for helping us have these products at half to one-third less than retail medical supplies."
