The Respironics Mask Swivel Connector with Flexible Cuff is a replacement elbow that has a silicone cuff, allowing for additional freedom of movement. Along with the Respironics Whisper Swivel II Exhalation Port, this product can be used to reposition a Comfort Series exhalation port farther away from the mask. The exhalation port will rest on your chest, instead of blowing directly in front of the mask.
CPAP users who do not like the angle at which the standard elbow directs CO2 gas can install this product to position the exhalation port more towards the chest area, rather than directly in front of the mask. Standard elbows can sometimes point the exhaust towards your partner, causing discomfort to someone directly next to you.
The elbow attaches to the frame of the mask through a retaining ring located inside. Remove the retention ring with a small screw driver and re-attach the new elbow and whisper swivel.
