Learn More About This Product

Many people naturally have a high body temperature when sleeping. The BedFan is designed to reduce body heat while you rest. The BedFan creates a personalized cooling zone under the sheets of your bed, whereas most ceiling and floor fans cool the air above and around the bed. Enjoy instant cool relief from night sweats and hot flashes.

Even if you don't suffer from night sweats, use The BedFan as a means of lowering your electricity bill. The cold breeze allows users to raise their average nightly temperature on the thermostat and help reduce energy costs from 4 to 8% percent less. With these potential savings on your energy bill, the BedFan should easily pay for itself.

To determine the correct BedFan for your bed, measure the distance from your floor to the top of your mattress. Select the range your measurement falls within for optimal results.

The BedFan comes with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with your Bedfan Personal Cooling System within 30 days from the purchase date, we will take back the product and refund your purchase.

Dr. Oz recommended the BedFan for help reducing night sweats. See the video segment here: Dr Oz's Remedies for Night Sweats

Potential causes of night sweats include:

  • Menopause
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Anxiety
  • Medications such as certain high blood pressure drugs, over-the-counter fever reducers, antipsychotics, and antidepressants
  • Drug or alcohol abuse
  • Gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Diabetes
  • Immune Disorders - such as Fibromyalgia and Lupus
  • Heart disease and Stroke
  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
  • Hyperthyroidism or Andropause (a lack of testosterone in the body)
  • Some Cancers - Lymphoma or Leukemia
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Tuberculosis

How it Works?

The BedFan cooling system helps reduce body heat while you sleep. Place the BedFan on the left, center or right side of the foot board and the extra long power cord with controller can sit at the head of your bed. The controller can sit hidden under a pillow or on a nightstand. When you are ready, adjust the speed dial and control the dual fans located at the foot of the bed. The BedFan controller is like a light dimmer.  It allows fine adjustment for the speed of the fan. The fans will produce 0-100 Cubic Feet of air each minute.

After placing the main unit at the foot of your bed, set the breeze bar so that the air blowing up from the fans is guided under the sheets. Use the included black foam blocks to secure the top sheet on each side of the BedFan. Insert a foam block between the mattress and box springs holding the top sheet in place. The cool air will flow around your body and stay within the sheets.

Energy Saver!

As an added benefit, The BedFan allows users to lower their monthly energy costs. Unlike typical floor and ceiling fans, The BedFan provides a cooling breeze directly over the body and reduces heat normally trapped between you and the bedsheets. Bedfan users can keep the nightly thermostat temperatures 4-8% higher than normal. An air conditioner accounts for 45% of energy costs for the average home. A monthly electric bill of $500.00 dollars consists of $225.00 dollars worth of air conditioning. A temperature change of 7 degrees while using The BedFan (moving temperature from 68 to 75 degrees at night) can lead to an estimated annual saving of $1,134.00 dollars. Recover the cost of The BedFan in just a few months and start saving on energy.

Bedfan Manual and Instructions

Sizing Tips

Bed Partner Tips

Each unit should be considered personal and will provide adequate cooling for one user. Spouses and partners may need an additional unit to experience 100% effectiveness when attempting to save energy and raise their average nightly temperature. King size beds sleeping more than one person will also require an additional unit.

Foam Block Tips

The two black Foam Blocks included with the BedFan may come attached to one another with a perforation down the middle. They easily break apart into two separate blocks with slight pressure evenly applied on each side of the perforation. The foam blocks are used to secure the sheet between the mattress and box springs.

Made in the USA

This product was first reviewed by a CPAP.com employee and recommended as a stocked item. After additional testing, several other employees are now purchasing their own Bedfan for personal use. In-house testing resulted in the user being able to increase the overall temperature in their home from 70 degrees to 74 degrees, while sleeping.

How will The Bedfan stop my night sweats?
Night Sweats generate significant heat that causes extreme sweating while you sleep. The Bedfan helps to cool down your body with a constant, gentle flow of air that lowers the temperature of your body and reduces unnecessary sweating.
Will my bed work with The Bedfan?
The Bedfan is designed with a thin main body that will fit most beds. The unit has been successfully tested on tall and short, with or without foot boards, sleigh and bunk beds. Mattresses sitting flat on the floor or R.V. beds that sit flat on a pedestal are difficult to install. If for any reason you are not satisfied with The Bedfan, contact CPAP.com for a return authorization and we will refund your purchase.
Will the Bedfan make my partner cold?
The Bedfan is designed to deliver a zone of cool air directly in front of the unit. Users trying to share the unit between partners will find the air flow cooling inefficiently. If your partner becomes cold, use a second set of sheets installed on top. The Bedfan will only provide air through the first set of sheets, allowing for individual zones for each partner.
Will my feet get cold?
The Bedfan is intended to both cool down your body and allow users to raise the ambient temperature of your household. First time users should raise your nightly temperature a few degrees. Monitor your comfort each night to find the ideal temperature for everyone.
Does the Bedfan have a built-in Air Conditioner?
No, The Bedfan uses two energy efficient fans located at the base of the unit. At 100% speed, the unit can move 100 Cubic Feet of air each minute. Even without an air conditioner unit, users find The Bedfan is effective in preventing night sweats and helps raise the average ambient temperature for those who would normally keep the air conditioner very cold to prevent sweating.
Can I still use a comforter with The Bedfan?
The Bedfan does work with a comforter, but heavier covers will reduce the overall efficiency of the unit. Lighter sheets and covers allow the air to flow easier around your body.
How noisy is the Bedfan?
Installed, the unit is barely audible and the fan motors are no louder than a small desk fan. Once you are in bed, the sounds become inaudible among the other background noises of your home.
What type of sheets do I use with The Bedfan?
Use a quality sheet to get the best results from The Bedfan. Sheets with a thread count of 400 or more are recommended. Sheets with a lower thread count will allow air to pass through before reaching your shoulders. A high thread count is woven tighter and therefore less able to allow air to escape from under the sheet. Thread counts lower than 400 will allow air to escape and the user will experience airflow only around his/her legs or the user will have the controller set higher than it needs to be.

Bedfan

Verified purchase | Oct. 03, 2018 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I love my new bedfan. I have used it about 2 months now and can't believe it took me so long to find one reasonably priced. I'm worried how I will live without it when I have to travel next week.

Best bed investment we've ever made.

Verified purchase | Jul. 12, 2018 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
As a sleep medicine professional for over 15 years, I am well aware of the importance of a good night's sleep. This fan certainly provided us both with that immediately upon use. It uses very little power and placed between the top sheet and comforter allows me to feel the warmth and comfort of being tucked in, while shifting any pockets of body heat, preventing night sweats. A+++++ I am hoping to add one to each bed in my clinic.

Best Sleep Ever

Verified purchase | May. 26, 2018 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I don't have any medical condition...I am just more comfortable in polar temperatures. I wake up constantly because my feet are hot or the house is not cool enough (but it's a dry heat). I have had this a couple of weeks and never slept better. I absolutely love it. I have had no problems with tipping and I sleep with several blankets and it is powerful enough to still inflate underneath. Unlike other reviewers I like my turned up towards high. It's fantastic and this is the lowest price by far to other units.

Good product with room for improvement

Verified purchase | Sep. 14, 2015 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
The pictures are for the older model, but the newer version with the additional vent channel (preferred) instead of the "breeze bar" is what I received - happy about that. The unit takes up very little space. It doesn't stand on its own, which a lot of people mention, but it's not really meant to. It is a little louder than I expected - a "squirrel cage" fan would be quieter than the dual propeller-type fans - but not disturbing until you get it cranked up nearly all the way. Not likely to ever crank it up that much though, even a little breeze delivered makes a big difference. Improvements would be (in addition to the quieter fan) a wireless remote instead of the wired version, and an auto-shutoff or run-limiting function for in case it gets left on. This is a good product, though not without room for improvement. Currently the only product of its kind (and the original, made in USA one) available, it's worth a go if you have the need.

BedFan Does The Trick

Verified purchase | Apr. 08, 2014 | Verified CPAP.com Customer
I have been waking during the night very hot and sweaty. Since adding the BedFan I do not wake as much and I am no longer hot when I wake. I did notice on a review that it did not work well with an adjustable bed. In my case I have a Craftmatic bed. I used the attachment supplied for high beds and the unit does go up and down with my bed with no problems. I did give the unit a 4 star since some of the plastic construction is a little cheap. Also the remote could have been better designed.
