EncoreViewer 2.0 Software with USB SD Memory Card Reader for PR System One Machines

EncoreViewer 2.0 was a quick and simple install and I like having the ability to create my own reports for what's going on with nightly respiratory events. But there are several reasons for giving this product just 3 stars. First, the application provides no access to the detail data which is in a proprietary format. So there is no ability to manipulate the data so that it can be sorted or viewed differently. Secondly, the level of detail provided is not very detailed. The report will tell you that you had an event, but won't, for example, tell you how long the event lasted. Thirdly, for data older than 7 days, you get a summary that rolls up the data for the entire night - in other words, you can't see when respiratory events are ocuring during the night. Reports showing detail for when events occur during the night are available ONLY for the most recent 7 days of collected data. If it's older than 7 days, you're out of luck. Overall, I'm happy that I bought this product, but it falls far short of what it should be able to do and in my opinion merits just a 3 star rating.

Easy to install and use. Generates reports that are similar if not exactly like those from DME provider. Allows you to self-monitor performance and troubleshoot blower issues i.e. mask leak %. Allows printing of reports so that you can provide to your Dr. if needed.

I was plesently suprised at how fast and good the Cpap service was. They got my order to me before I got my new Cpap machine. I can't wait to try my new software out.

Frankly, I'm a bit of a geek and wish the Viewer software would let me dig a bit deeper into what's going on. I know that xPAP software isn't going to be perfectly accurate. It's only showing pressure gradients after all, but Respironics needs to know that SOME OSA patients like to have the option of seeing very specifically on a minute by minute basis what is happening while they sleep. For me it's a matter of, I'm making the effort to sleep with this contraption, it's collecting breath by breath data and making minute adjustments to my airway. Just let me know as much as I want to know about what it's doing. What's the big deal about keeping me from knowing what my machine knows in as much detail as I want? It's shows a little mark on a graph for an apnea episode. Tell me how long that episode lasted! It was my darned episode!

Easy to install, easy to manage, gives me the info I need to assure me that my therapy is working. I highly recommend.
