Good as it gets...for me

"After going throught the "mask chase" for a couple of months, the Mirage Swift II is the one that gives me best service. It does start to leak around the nares interface after 3 months, so be prepared to replace the pillow sleeve quarterly. I hesitate to give any mask 5 stars, but of the 5-6 masks I've tried, this one is the "keeper.""

"Fits perfectly with the original nasal pillow system and the package works much better for me than mask systems."

"This is the only part of the Mirage system that I'm not 100% happy with. The newer material is a bit too soft which makes them wear out faster. Sometimes it takes a lot of adjusting to get the pillow seated well without leaks. I wish they would make them just a bit less flexible as they seem to wear out more quickly than the older ones did."

replacement pillow sleeve

"I appreciate the reminder notice for this product. I do think that it is over priced and should be sold with the clip. I am not a long time user and at this writing do not know the life of the clip. I do know when one part fails the balance of the entire unit is off and noise becomes a problem. When I was trouble shooting and was replacing various parts to take care of the air leak I mistakenly used the pillow that came with the original unit. The first unit is automatically sent with a large size pillow sleeve. I unknowingly had used the large size and had a miserable night. I changed out this $39.00 item and discarded it. It seems to me the initial order should be supplied with the correct size pillow. It is such a waste to send the wrong size automatically. I am not sure how much this saves the manufacturer, but the consumer could benefit from sizing at the time of the purchase. All CPAP parts are of the utmost importance to the user and I appreciate the fact that your pricing is much better than the supplier that the insurance companies provide. It is just hard to justify the cost in relation to materials used. I understand supply and demand and pricing according to your market, but the medical industry is corrupted by the insurance industry and the consumer is the victim."

Quiet - Less Wind

"I switched to the original Swift two years ago. Far more comfortable than the system I had been using. But the "wind" noise disturbed my wife. I upgraded to the Swift II about 6 months ago. A great improvement. Much quieter and far less "blast".
The softness of the pillows is both benefit and hindrance, because it requires changing the pillows more often. On the one hand, it's better (if you don't clean as often as you should); on the other, it can get costly. Thankfully, cpap.com allows me to order just the pillow section of the mask. I don't even both with my insurance because they force me to buy the entire system each time I just need new pillows. And we wonder why insurance rates keep going up and up?"
