"I just received the replacement humidifier tank for my AEIOMed Everest 3 that I broke myself (no fault of the machine) I bought this machine because it was the only one offered with a manageable travel size battery. I do a lot of traveling "off the beaten path" and I don't always have access to a "current bush", or an AC plug to run my CPAP unit. Now I just pack my two batteries and I can go for long periods of time using a car or bus DC power supply to recharge the batteries. The CPAP unit itself is a very robust and user-friendly machine. I used it for 2 weeks on a safari in Tanzania and it never missed a beat. I have shown it to many other CPAP users and they were extremely impressed with the portability and flexibility. I would recommend the AEIOMed Everest 3 to anyone wanting a reliable CPAP machine that doesn't weigh down the intrepid traveler."
Still needs improvement

"The humidifier chambers that I received are still the ones with the tabs in the back that crack after a few months (if you're lucky; my current one starting showing cracks after 2 weeks). I wish Aeiomed had a solution for this, but since they no longer supply this machine, my guess is that even the current parts will no longer be available in the future....."

"Very easy to use. It fits the Aeiomed Everest 3 CPAP machine. I like the way you can open it to clean it. It's a shame that the company is not going to produce any more Everest 3 machines, as they are great for taking on extended vacations due to their small size."

"arrived as promised. This for my backup and travel only machine. I have installed it and it works"
To care for your humidifier simply empty and clean the water tank each morning. Only distilled water should be used in the humidifier to avoid mineral deposit build up.
Why do I need to use distilled water with in my humidifier chamber?
Use distilled water to help keep the humidifier chamber clean and mineral deposit free. Tap water should not be used as it will leave hard white mineral deposits in the chamber as the water evaporates, or it may lead to mold growth. Cases of lung disease have been connected to using contaminated well water in a CPAP humidifier.* Source
If distilled water is not available where you live, use bottled water. It will be important to clean the chamber each morning, do not leave standing water the chamber between uses.
