"Machine is compact and a nice size for travel. The comment listed that I found true was that with the machine there is a lot of noise transmitted through the air tube. I was able to resolve this by attaching the humidifier which muffled the noise going to the air tube. The humidifier need not be full of water to accomplish this."

"I love this unit. I had gone through three Respironics units, each of which failed over the course of two+ years. The ResMed machine has been in service over 6 months with no issue. But most of all, I love the compact design. It's got a small footprint, both on the nightstand and in a suitcase. It uses one cord, not the totally stupid collection of plugs, adapters, and nonsense in the Respironics unit (wall cord to brick to unit to humidifier...). I've got the humidifier, which just plugs right into the front of the CPAP. Humidifier has been a bit noisy, but I don't really use it. Perhaps the auto-pressure keeps me from drying myself out. My only complaint is that, at night when you look at the lighted buttons, they form the face of an evil monkey. No, really, they do! But other than that, this is a great choice. Wish it had been my first."

"I'm a new user of CPAP system, so I can't make a compairison, however I love the S8 Elite II! It is so quite we can't even hear it run. It came programed from the factory to my perscription, but the menu driven programing is so simple that if or when I need to change programing, it's a breeze to do. I recomend it to anyone!!"
