FAQs - Comfort Accessories Collection

What do CPAP mask strap covers do?

CPAP mask strap covers provide soft, cushioned padding around your headgear to reduce skin irritation and red marks, and prevent overtightening.

What are the best CPAP accessories to make therapy more comfortable?

Our most popular comfort accessories include:

  • Mask liners reduce skin irritation and air leaks.
  • Chinstraps stop mouth leaks for people who use nasal and nasal pillow masks.
  • CPAP pillows relieve mask pressure for side sleepers.
  • Hose covers prevent rainout, water buildup, and gurgling.
How can I make my CPAP mask more comfortable?

To improve your CPAP mask comfort, try the following:

  • Experiment with different mask styles and sizes to find the best fit for your face shape and sleeping position.
  • Adjust your headgear to ensure a snug but not overly tight fit.
  • Consider a mask with a softer, more flexible frame or cushion material.
  • Use mask liners or pads to reduce skin irritation and improve the seal.
How do I prevent air leaks when I'm using a nasal pillow CPAP mask?

A lot of people who use nasal masks use a CPAP chinstrap to prevent air leaks.

Here's why–if you're experiencing a lot of leaks while using a nasal or nasal pillow mask, you're probably sleeping with your mouth open. When this happens, your CPAP air enters your nose like normal, but instead of all of that air going to your lungs, some of it escapes out of your mouth.

How do I fix CPAP dry mouth?

If you use a CPAP machine, one of the most common causes of dry mouth and sore throat are dry air and mask leaks. The good news is that there are a few solutions:

  • Address Air Leaks: Check your leak rate, and if it's higher than normal, you're probably losing air through your mouth or mask seal. Start by making sure you have the correct size cushion. If you're still struggling, consider adding a mask liner or chinstrap.
  • Bump Your Humidity: Dry CPAP air can cause irritation along your entire airway, from your nose to your mouth and throat. Increasing your humidity level can help and if that's not enough, you may want to add a heated CPAP hose to you setup.
