WatchPATยฎ One is an FDA-approved at-home sleep test (HST) that checks for obstructive sleep apnea in just one night of testing, meaning no need for clinic visits or sleep labs. This clinically proven sleep test uses patented technology to measure sleep apnea events and track your sleep quality.
What happens after I order my home sleep test?
Here's what to expect after you submit your order for a WatchPAT One home sleep test.
Telehealth Consultation: Answer a few questions and meet with a licensed doctor to confirm HST is right for you.
Complete Setup: Once approved, your test will arrive in 2-3 days. When it does, you will download the WatchPAT app to complete setup.
Take the Test: When you're ready for bed, just attach the 3-piece device and start recording in the app. When you wake up, end the test and submit your data.
View Your Results: A licensed doctor will review your results, and a report will be emailed to you within 2-3 days.
Get a Prescription: Those diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea will be offered a care plan, such as prescriptions for CPAP or oral appliances.
How does this home sleep test work?
Our home sleep test tracks your sleep patterns and vital signs using a 3-piece design that includes a wrist sensor, finger probe, and small chest patch.
The HST relies on patented technology to measure changes inside the blood vessels of your fingertips, called peripheral arterial tone (PAT). WatchPat then compares those PAT changes with your snoring, body movements, and other vital signs to accurately detect when youโre asleep and identify sleep apnea events.
Once you've completed your home sleep test, your results are sent to a licensed physician to review the test's findings and confirm your diagnosis.
Do I need a prescription to take a home sleep test?
You do not need a prescription to initially order our home sleep test, but once your order has been received, you will meet with a doctor to confirm that home sleep testing is right for you.
If the doctor agrees that a home sleep test is right for you, they'll send a notice to our team to ship your testing device right away.
To be approved for our home sleep test, you'll need to be:
18 years or older
Weigh at least 65 pounds
Suspected of having obstructive sleep apnea
Approved for HST by a licensed physician
No complex health conditions
Not at risk for central sleep apnea
