Water Chamber for AirSense 10, AirStart 10, and AirCurve 10 HumidAir Heated Humidifier
Details
MoreThe replacement AirSense 10 Water Chamber should be replaced every 6 to 12 months to keep your HumidAir Humidifier working like new. The Standard Water Chamber easily lifts up to be cleaned and refilled but is not dishwasher safe, and can also be used with the AirStart 10 and AirCurve 10 machines by ResMed.
Find all compatible parts listed here on the AirSense 10 Parts page.
The replacement Standard Water Chamber is the same chamber included with the HumidAir Heated Humidifier at the time of purchase.
This product only includes the ResMed AirSense 10 Water Chamber.
Allow ten minutes after use for the chamber to cool before handling as it could be too warm to the touch. The machine will display a blue snowflake in the upper right of the screen while cooling is taking place.
General Tips Section
Maximum Fill Level Tips
- Do not fill the water tank above the maximum fill line. If you overfill the humidifier tub, it may result in damage, caused by excess water leaking out of the tank inlet.
- When disconnecting the hose from the tank outlet, be careful to ensure that the hose is not holding water. Water could travel through the hose and into the machine, damaging it.
- Use only room temperature distilled water in the water chamber tub. Do not put any chemicals or additives (like essential oils) into the water. Additives can irritate your mouth or throat and may be harmful. Tap water can leave hard deposits that create more work for your CPAP machine and affect the quality of your CPAP therapy air and its pressure.
- Remove the tank, empty all water, and replace the empty tank before transporting the humidifier base. Leaking water from your humidifier chamber can cause damage to your machine.
- Do not attempt to fill the water tank while it is inside the humidifier.
- Do not turn the humidifier on without the water tank installed. The Humidifier number setting must remain on 0 if there is no water in the water tank.
How to Determine if the Water Chamber is Dishwasher Safe?
All AirSense™ 10 , AirStart™ 10, and AirCurve™ 10 machines denote the humidifier water chamber model with an "S" or "C" label, imprinted on the chamber itself. Look directly above the maximum fill line located on the side of the chamber to find the word HumidAir™ and the corresponding letter embossed into the tank.
- If the replacement water chamber is dishwasher safe, the chamber will appear as HumidAir C, which represents a cleanable tank.
- If the replacement water chamber is the standard model, the chamber will appear as HumidAir S, which represents a standard tank.
Cleaning / Maintenance Tips
Cleaning the Standard AirSense 10 Water Chamber
The standard water tub should be washed weekly using warm water and a mild detergent, rinsed well, and allowed to dry out of direct sunlight. The standard water chamber is not dishwasher safe and should only be hand-washed, but a dishwasher safe chamber is also available.
