I have been testing my 24V converter for the past five nights. I am using it to power my ResMed S9 CPAP from a 35 amp-hour AGM deep-cycle AGM battery (Fullriver DC35-12). The battery only weighs 24 lbs. I have operated my CPAP, which is set at 10 cm H2O, for a total of 38 hours on a single charge. When I am exhaling, the system is drawing 300mA from the battery. When I inhale, the unit draws between 1000mA and 1500mA. The average current is probably around 700 mA. So each hour of use requires about 0.7 amp-hours. My battery is rated at 35 amp-hours, and I have already gotten 38 hours on a charge. I am very happy with this product and looking forward to enjoying camping trips and surviving power outages. This unit directly converts 12VDC to 24VDC. That is much more efficient than converting to 110VAC and then back to 24VDC. If you want to get to longest runtime from your 12V battery, this unit will not disappoint you.
