General Tips Section
The diffuser filter is attached to a clear plastic cap which connects at the top of the mask elbow.
Wash the filter at least once per week in warm water with mild soap. Do not exceed 10 minutes. Rinse with fresh water until all soap residue is gone and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight.
If the cap cracks or the filter comes lose, replace the diffuser filter.

This diffuser is such a simple thing. Ordering multiple from clap.com allows me to change them more frequently when they get dirty.
I would not use this mask without replacing this filter monthly and more often during cold and flu season. You will definitely smell and feel the difference in the air.
I have a high pressure setting and this filter baffles the sound but allows air transfer.
