The pillow works perfectly for the CPAP. I love the strap feature to hold the CPAP hose, very handy. The only down side to the pillow is that it is way too firm for me. It is like sleeping on a brick. I did take one layer out as it was a bit too thick. If you like a VERY firm pillow this is it!! That is the only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5.

The pillow comes with a zippered cover that holds the layers, but a washable custom-shaped pillowcase is needed over that for protecting your face as well as the pillow from bacteria. The all cotton weave feels like a perfect percale fabric, not hot or heavy. Best of all it is perfectly shaped to match the pillows contours and cutouts and closes easily with 2 large top buttons. Excellent design. I machine wash it but air dry it, and it fits perfectly. Worth the money for a perfectly designed case that protects your face and your pillow.

This pillow allows you to keep your mask centered and comfortable. Very helpful.

You change the pillow height by removing layers, and that helped with comfort for side sleeping. But the shape of this pillow does not allow enough room for my cpap mask when sleeping on my side. Viewed from above, the pillow has curved indentations that end at the bottom, leaving a projection of the pillow, let's call it a horn. That projection presses against part of my mask (and I have tried several). I can avoid the horn pushing on the mask if I place my head farther up on the pillow, but then my mask presses against the upper part of the pillow. If I reinstall the layer of foam to restore full pillow height, the interference of the pillow and mask is reduced but not eliminated, and as mentioned above, I was not comfortable with all three layers of foam in the pillow. If I rotate the pillow from a normal sleeping position, by about 30 degrees, there is just enough room for my mask in the cutout with the one layer of foam removed. In that position, my body compresses the projected "horn" out of the way for side sleeping without mask interference from the pillow, but this position is awkward and not comfortable. This pillow might well work for others, but not for me.
