The ProBasics Zzz-PAP Heated Humidifier offers a mist of relief for CPAP users experiencing upper airway dryness. The humidifier features a small footprint that fits neatly with the Zzz-PAP sleep therapy devices, creating a very small, light, CPAP/heated humidifier combination.
The circuitry within the humidifier has been upgraded to accommodate both 120v and the higher 240v, found overseas.
The control feature was re-engineered to address certain noises generated in its first version. This effort is to ensure a consistent temperature difference between the water and ambient air, minimizing condensation in the tubing ("rain out") and keep the humidification level constant throughout the night. Choose from six heat settings which set the temperature between 86° F to 130° F
Comes with a detachable, dishwasher safe water chamber for trouble-free maintenance. Open the chamber with the always available Extraction Tool, stored on the humidifier.
Features a rotary button that allows you to adjust heating level along with separate Power On and Heater On indicator lights. When the Heater Plate Switch is pressed against the water chamber, the orange heater indicator light acknowledges that the unit is ready for use.

Here are some items that can help with caring for your humidifier:

Be careful if you are buying this to replace an older unit or to use with your older Zzz-PAP machine.... They've changed the plug style and this new humidifier only connects to the new Zzz-PAP machine. You can plug them both in separately, but I use this for traveling which makes no sense having to have 2 available receptacles. I was able to return this and order a complete new unit, but would have appreciated avoiding this issue. Otherwise, I LOVE this machine! more...
The machine with the humidifier is smaller than our previous machine by itself. Works great, very quiet! Love them!
This is a strange device. The CPAP itself just sits atop it, until you clamp the CPAP between the... water tank and a small rubber foot (the white bar at 4 o'clock on the image). The hose for your mask connects directly to the water tank. Refilling the tank without bringing the water to your bedside (I use a non-portable dispenser) means you have to unmount the tank from the CPAP, and fill it from the CPAP hole. If you fill it at bedside, you need to unplug the hose for the facemask. Hopefully you have a funnel. The last issue is that you're supposed to plug the CPAP machine into the base, and then plug the base into the outlet. It's easy to turn off your CPAP machine and then forget to turn off the switch on the back of the unit, which means the heater runs all day. Oops. What's good about it? It has a tiny footprint, comes with a power cable, has a nice little adjustable dial for heater settings, and the whole thing fits together very well. It has some design flaws, but it's excellent for the value. more...
