Did not work at first on the laptop. Had to do some research to get it to work. It now... works and I'm very pleased with it. Thank you very much.. more...
Does not come with only serial cable which is very inconvenient.
This software has been a wonderful purchase. I have only been using it for one week but it has... given me the ability to titrate my 420E and the results are already noticable. Thank you CPAP.com for making this available. more...
Helpful software in order to find the right pressure and mask for the CPAP. Only problem I had was the somewhat... exorbitant shipping charge for this product. It is quite incomprehensible why the software has to be shipped with three different weighty hardcopy manuals since these manuals are also included on the disk. more...
I like the data management software. However the cable is com port connection. My PC doesn't have com port. I... have to find a USB to Serial Converter to solve problem. also have to test from com1-com6. I found out my com4 work. I suggest the cable made in USB 2.0 instead of still using serial com port connection. So The speed of data transfering from CPAP to PC with faster and no need to test com1-com8. It will be more convenient for users. more...
The Silverlining software is an excellent addition to the Puritan Bennett 420e APAP. It has allowed me to greatly improve... my therapy by narrowing pressure rates and seeing the results graphed in terms of apneas, hypopneas, etc. I have been able to have an average pressure of 8-9, rather than the the 11 I used to have in my CPAP. For anyone who wants to make their therapy the best it can be and who wants to monitor their therapy, it's crucial. The one down side is that it comes only with a serial cable, which most newer computers no longer use. You have to buy a serial to USB adapter, which will run you an extra $30. It's time the manufacturer dropped the serial cable and provided a USB cable. more...
The software works quite well, and comes with three manuals - a waste of paper and shipping there, as each... manual applies to a different model in the CPAP range. The manuals are also on the disk as PDFs, so it seems wasteful to include hard copies. The instructions are clumsily translated from French, but are quite detailed. What would be more helpful is an explanation of what the terms used actually mean. For example, what is the "runs" statistic meant to tell us? The software should come with a USB, not an obsolete serial connector. The software works quite well, in an archaic pre-Windows kind of way. I bought it because I am using my CPAP in Auto-Adjusting mode, and this is the only way to know what it is actually doing through the night. The software tells me that, and gives other useful information. CPAP parameters can also be set with the software, which is obviously much easier than manipulating the device directly with the buttons. I am glad that I bought it, to get at the CPAP data, but the product could be substantially improved and updated. more...
Silverlining software for Puritan Benett data capable cpap machines provides more information than any other manufacturers compliance and therapy tracking... software and is certainly easier to find and purchase. The interface is not very intuitive, but with the help of the knowledgeable people on cpaptalk.com, I was able to access nightly information on apneas, snore, leak, and pressure. For newer computers, a USB to 9 pin serial adapter cable is a must for installation. more...
SilverLining 3.10 Data Management Software, SilverLining 3.10 Clinical Kit with software, 6' download cable and manuals
very good software everybody can looks how they sleep
The cable that comes with the SilverLining software cannot be used on most PCs nowadays. It would be good if... it comes with other forms of connectivity apart from using the RS232 port. more...
Data visualization and control are well understand computer functions - Windows establishes a standard of control that has educated much... of the population. This software doesn't meet them. The software is essential to controlling the device. I have no local DME provider and no one to turn to for help yet - so I bought the software. I learned a bit about APAP, learned how to turn off the Darth Vader air blast, and got the unit comfortable and in 7.2 hours/night of compliance with moderate OSA - so the results are excellent. But, the buttons aren't labeled, the graphs are to small to read, I haven't cracked the export function yet (I want to do regression on the raw data), and I find the manual frustrating. Every software wants to reinvent their product interface - this one suffers terribly from the inexpert reinvention. I don't mean to debate Windows va Mac - but both are mature interfaces that have a consistent help, labeled buttons, controllable fonts and all the things that make it possible for someone old enough to need the equipment to use easily. Function: 75 on a 0-100 scale Documentatiom 10 or a 0-100 scale Hardare 5 on a 0-100 scale (are we expecting USB to go out of style anytime soon? This usit uses a DB-9 plug and demands an externally purchased adapter for any computer less than 10 ears old - boo, shame on them) more...
