Reduce facial marks with under-nose design on DreamWear cushion

Sizing and interchangeability, simplified

Choose from Small, Medium, Medium-Wide, or Large. Any DreamWear Full Face cushion size fits any DreamWear frame. If you currently use a DreamWear Nasal mask, you can use the same frame when moving to the Full Face cushion; you’ll need the compatible DreamWear Full Face headgear to complete the setup. Explore frames, headgear, elbows, and more on the DreamWear Full Face Mask Parts page.

Care and replacement routine

Clean the cushion each morning with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry out of direct sunlight. Most users replace cushions every one to three months, sooner if the surface feels tacky, looks worn, or leaks increase.

Quick tips for a better seal
  1. Re-seat: lift the cushion from your face, then gently release to reset the seal.
  2. Adjust evenly: loosen, then retighten; top straps help with air to the eyes, lower straps help general leaks.
  3. Right size, less force: if you’re overtightening, try a different cushion size.
  4. Refresh on schedule: replace after 1–3 months of use.

FAQs about the Cushion for DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask

How Often Should I Replace the DreamWear Full Face Cushion?

You should replace your Full Face DreamWear Cushion between one and three months of use, though it’s not uncommon for the cushions to last longer. Your cushion should last longer the better you care for it, so make sure you’re wiping it down or cleaning it with soap and water every morning after use, then allowing it to air dry out of direct sunlight for the best results.

What Are the Tell-Tale Signs That I Need To Replace My DreamWear Full Face Cushion?

There are a few signs to watch for that will indicate it is time for a new mask cushion:

  • The Cushion is Visibly Worn or Deteriorating
  • The Cushion Does Not Feel Smooth on Your Face and Isn’t as Comfortable Anymore
  • You Can’t Keep Your Leak Rate Below 20-24 Liters Per Minute
  • You Have to Overtighten Your Headgear for a Secure Seal and Start Waking Up With Sore Spots or More Red Marks Than Usual
How Can I Clean My DreamWear Full Face Cushion?

Ideally, you should clean not only the mask cushion of your DreamWear Mask each morning after use, but also the hollow mask frame, tubing elbow, and tubing quick release. Follow the instructions below for disassembly and cleaning:

  1. Release the Headgear Tabs, Then Remove the Headgear From the Mask
  2. Disconnect the Tubing Quick Release, Then Remove the Tubing Elbow
  3. Separate the Cushion From the Mask Frame
  4. Wash Your Components in a Sink of Warm, Soapy Water. Make Sure To Get Water All the Way Through the Tubing Elbow and Hollow Mask Frame
  5. Fully Rinse Your Mask Components With Water, Then Set Them Out To Air Dry Out of Direct Sunlight

A mild soap is best, and you should never clean your mask cushion with bleach, alcohol, or soaps containing lotion or moisturizers. Purdoux Mask and Hose Soap is our go-to.

How Can I Get a Better Seal With My DreamWear Full Face Cushion?

If you’re having issues with your DreamWear Full Face mask’s seal, try some of the following solutions:

  • The First Course of Action Is Always to Re-Seat the Mask. Pull the Cushion Away From You, Then Gently Release It Back Onto Your Face
  • Completely Loosen Your Headgear, Then Re-Tighten It To Ensure You Have a Proper Fit. Tightening the Top Straps Will Help Reduce Air Leaking Into the Eyes, While the Lower Straps Will Help With General Leakage Around the Mouth
  • Try Using a Mask Liner. Mask Liners Help Create a Clean Barrier Between You and Your Cushion and Are the Difference Between a Leaky Seal and a Peaceful Night for Many People
  • Try a Different Cushions Size. Sometimes Leaks Are the Result of a Cushion That Is Too Large or Too Small
  • Replace Your Cushion if It Has Seen More Than 1–3 Months of Use
Is the DreamWear Full Face Cushion Interchangeable With Other DreamWear Masks?

Yes, the Nasal, Nasal Pillow, and Full Face DreamWear masks use an interchangeable frame that can accommodate any of the three DreamWear cushions. However, the DreamWear Full Face mask uses different headgear, so you’ll also need the headgear compatible with the Nasal and Nasal Pillow DreamWear masks.
